Don't miss this one. An easy walk down stairs to a paved walkway. Handrails for those who need them. The small parking lot prevents overcrowding. Wonderful photo opportunities plus the enjoyment you get from getting to walk behind the falls without getting soaked, hence the name.

Dry Falls is a must see when visiting Highlands. One of the prettiest waterfalls in Highlands. Easy to access, plenty of parking and close to town.

My partner and I stopped here on our way into Highlands. We took several pictures of the beautiful falls. The park is very well maintained and nice to visit.

The falls are beautiful with lots of water coming over the falls. I was great to be able to walk behind the falls.

One of many beautiful waterfalls in the Highlands area. With so much rain this summer the falls were huge and the walk to the falls is very short and you can walk behind them which is very fun. Very worth while to see.

The falls are beautiful and only require a quick walk down flights of stairs. Walking behind the falls was fun, too - got great photos.

Marty and I have been to both the Bridal Falls and Dry Falls just west of Highlands, NC many times. However, no one ever told us about the steps you can take down and literally walk behind the Dry Falls. It had been raining and the falls were anything but dry and we got a tiny bit damp but its... We spent a week visiting various waterfalls and this was one of our favorites. The trail is great down to the falls. You can walk right behind the falls which was super fun! It was an easy walk but you can also see from an upper viewing area. It's well worth the short walk down.

Last year when in the area access to the falls was closed while they renovated....waiting another year to see it was well worth it. The waterfalls in this area are even more spectacular due to a lot of rain this year. Being one of the few that you can walk behind its special in its own right. Going down to... More
