The overall condition of the course was great. Target golf from most tees and fast greens (greens putted pure, once you learned to read them). Challenging par 3's and reachable par 5's. Returned two more times during the trip and hope to play the course again next year.

Played as a visitor set up by our CC and loved the course. Told us he had signed up to be a member there that day, as a joke, but he did have his best game ever.

Attended a wedding reception - bagpipes being played on the entry - most impressive! My husband had played golf there on Friday and just had to show me the number one tee and fairway before entering the reception. He loved the impecible golf course. The food at the reception was delicious. Deep frying oysters outside, fork tender tenderloin, three bite... More

You'll have to get a member to take you but if you can worm your way on it's a great day of golf. It's a classic Donald Ross design and was the NC home of Bobby Jones. Don't miss the frozen yogurt at the turn.

They were very willing to bring me something else, however I chose not to because we were running late for our spa treatments!... More

Highlands Country Club is the oldest and most prestigious golf club in Highlands - the summer course and home for Bobby Jones. It is a wonderful place to drive thru and see some gorgeous homes, fantastic views and beautifully maintained golf course, but remember that it is a private, member-owned club, with security. The best drive to see the course... More
