Nice Hike.

Hiked Whiteside. It was not bad but may be a little hard for some not use to hiking. Would like to do this again when time allows on my next visit.

My husband and I hike Whiteside every year when we visit Highland's. This year we were able to introduce some family and friends to the hike as well and they all thoroughly enjoyed it. When you reach the top the views are outstanding!! It takes about an hour or so to complete the hike and you can take the easy... More

Cost $2 (If memory serves) or displaying a National Parks card on the dasboard. You can get alot of views along the top ridge with some very moderate hiking, (I'm 77) or take the easy way and walk up a gravel road and get some good views from the other end of the ridge. The views are mostly back towards... More

Loved the walk but hated that one side of loop was closed and you really didn't know until you got to the top!

It took our group about 45 minutes to reach the monument at the peak, and about 30 minutes to walk down. Make sure you wear sturdy shoes because some of the path is pretty rocky. On our way down we meet a group that included a teenaged girl in sandals. I am pretty sure she did not make it all... More

Quite a hike but we enjoyed it. Not too far drive from our hotel and the scenery was lovely. Want to do this again.

Somewhat of a rugged trail, but worth every step to see the mountain, lake, and valley views. Clouds were rolling in during our hike, which were quite amazing.

Good views and maintained by a local group; however, half of the trail was under repairs. We enjoyed the views and it was about 2.5 miles round trip using the left trail up and down. Good time!

We took a morning hike on a summer day it was great! Temperature was perfect. Great views of mountain ranges and valleys. Falcons have been reintroduced to the area and have nests in the granite sides of the mountain. We were able to see some from the summit! People of all ages seem to be managing the climb well.
