Not a look to view, not a huge selection, but interesting. It's good to spend some time to view works of art, but don't expect much as the selection isn't there. Wait until a traveling exhibit is here.

Excellent experience for Adults and kids, very educational !

My Child loves this place! Just all all around good way for your child to grow through sensory and touch and to have a good introduction to Art appreciation!

It has about eight to ten venues. Magnificent glass display upstairs, Large main showing area, plus other displays scattered around the large museum. Curator is very proactive, constantly bringing in ground-breaking events that encourage local participation among the established artists.

Just discovered the Hickory Museum of Art. In a beautifully renovated old school building, this museum has a wonderful variety of art. Free admission.

My friends and I were looking for something to do and we found this gem of a museum in downtown Hickory. The gift shop was amazing and had a lot of local handmade treasures at reasonable prices.
