The Catawba County area is blessed to have such a wonderful Museum. HMA offers something for all ages and keeps it interesting. Events are always 1st Class!

Great collections and a fascinating diversity of rotating and guest exhibitions. The quality of collections in this small museum is vastly under-rated and underestimated by many of the people who live here. Worth a side trip if you are in the vicinity. Better yet, make a day of it and visit the Science Center which is in the same facility.... More

The Folk Art exhibit at this museum is awesome; along with the varying seasonal exhibits that change frequently. It's a beautiful building (restoration of an historic building) and the exhibits are really interesting.

The museum is very nice, if not just a little small. They do a good job of scheduling new shows on a regular visit, and the space itself is very well designed. Many of their exhibits are regional is nature, featuring NC artist.

Very good spaces in the converted old high school, shared with the Science Center, and right next door to the main library. Permanent exhibits, and both photography , paint and collage .Traveling exhibits come and go. A great place to visit and close to the downtown square.

Lots of hands on activities for children. The aquarium & library is in same complex and they are both excellent too!
