Don't let the outside fool you. It is by far the best gem mine in the area. I have been to almost every gem mine in WNC, and Elijah Mountain is my favorite. Worth the drive if you are anywhere in the area. I like the Giant Green bucket, but if you are traveling with kids you might want to... More

We were staying close by and passed a few times a day , intrigued at the signs . I have to say , the outside of the building gives you no idea of what is inside . I was pleasantly surprised when we finally decided to stop in ! The pond inside was beautifully kept with HUGE fish ( very... More

Visited Elijah Mountain on my recent trip to Hendersonville & had a great time. To be honest it was not something I was interested in as coming from the UK I did not understand it but some American friends took me there & I had a GREAT DAY!! Highly recommend

This is the best gem mine I have been to by far. I got the large emerald, sapphire and ruby bucket and it was jam packed. I have got other buckets of different varieties when I have been there and I do not leave disappointed.

Haven't done the "mining" part but when I'm in Hendersonville visiting friends I make sure I stop by the shop. They have great prices and a good variety of items. I always find something interesting. This year they had a few civil war bullets that were pretty cool besides all the stones, gems and crystals. I found some wonderful crystal... More

My husband and I just visited Elijah's for the second time and are looking forward to our third next year. We could spend the entire day there. We usually buy gifts for our friends and family and us of course. No matter what your age treat yourself to a visit. I bet you'll be planning a return visit.

It is what it is... can spend about an hour. Kids loved it. Found all kinds of colorful stones. The staff was very nice and helpful.

My daughter (9 years old) had the funnest time at Elijah's. We got the fossil bucket and she found a now treasured extra large mastodon tooth fossil. The place is well setup and organized. the staff are extra friendly and always available to help. They take their time to be extra sweet to the kids and teach them the ropes... More

We had the best time at Elijah's!! All the guys who worked there were so much fun to talk to, and knew so much about everything, especially "JOE", the guy who appraised all our gems! There were 3 of us "young ladies" who had never been mining before, and the trip from Cedar Mtn. to Hendersonville was one of the... More
