The Schiele Museum offers a wide variety of experiences- science and history museum, planetarium programs, outdoor trail and living history center plus special offerings throughout the year. We are so fortunate to have this amazing museum in our area. It keeps expanding and reinventing itself! New expansion just completed.

Not for small kids unless you visit the stars. Small kids do not understand why the animals are not alive. They also do not want to sit still while you explain and read information. They do offer fun events in the summer time for younger kids. Plan your visit here. Nice and very well kept. Very educational.

We visit the museum regularly to walk the trails and enjoy the great variety offered. History is preserved in several areas and new exhibits keep us coming back.

The museum has gone through several expansions and is a great place to visit. There is a nature trail that is very interesting. You have plenty to visit inside and outside,

A museum you would expect to find in a larger city. Great exhibits inside and a pioneer/Indian village outside. There are exhibits that are permanent and they also have temporary exhibits, so it's a different experience every time. I've been many times and I never tire of it.

We spent the night in gastonia and went to this place. First my kids were bored by the idea of coming here. By the time they were out the couldn't stop talking about all the cool stuff that was in there. It's a hidden gem!

Have visited this museum several times with grandchildren. We have all had lots of fun, looking at the regular exhibits and special exhibits. I would highly recommend visiting this museum.

The Schiele is an amazing nature museum, the kind you might fiind in a really large city. Not many cities the size of Gastonia have such a treasure. This is an exception "field trip" destination for young students within a couple hour's driving distance.

Does not seem very well organized, very small, not much to see. Great place for meetings and workshops.
