Such a beautiful place. We were alone with the exception of a few people on horseback in the distance. Water is warmer on the SE facing beaches below Hatteras. Angle of the waves make less ideal than the east facing beaches for body surfing in most weather conditions, but if I had kids with me, this is the perfect place... More

The waves and wind were a bit rough here, but the beach was gorgeous and clean. It was very quiet and we didn't encounter very many other people, but the ones we did were all very friendly. We saw some surfing and body boarding, a lot of kiteboarding. Our group swam, built sandcastles and flew kites. We also had a... More

Enjoyed a week at Frisco Beach. It was late in the year and the beach was fairly empty. Nice to have an open space. Water was very warm.

We came in September, so the beach wasn't overly crowded. Stayed near the pier which is a major safety hazard. We like it when we have the beach to ourselves, but still are within walking or short driving distance to great restaurants. Our beach house was amazing. The ocean water was a little cold, so we really enjoyed the pool... More

Looks like this is a first choice for families with young children as there were many on the beach and looked safer than other beaches as far as current is concerned. The beach is very clean and a few vehicles are there with fishermen. It is amazing to see how clean these beaches are in the BOX. People seem to... More

The Frisco Beach was really great. The access from the parking was very convenient. We didn't use the showers in the parking area, but they were clean when we peeked in. The ocean temperature was warmer and the waves were not as robust as the other beaches in the area we have visited. I think this beach is incredible and... More

Frisco beach is quiet and the perfect place for relaxation away from the hustle and touristy areas of Nags Head and Virginia Beach.

Easy access to the sound where children can swim and play in calm warm water and a sandy bottom. No worries about going in over their head when you can walk a long distance out and only be knee deep for adults. Great spot to go kayaking.
