This area is known for it's mining. We brought the kids to experience something specific to where we were visiting (2.5yo and 2 8yo). We purchased a souvenir bucket (reasonably priced) and found the adults getting more excited / interested in the mining too. The bucket contains dirt full of gems and you use a sluice box (looks like a... More

This is by far the best Gem mining experience. They were very friendly, Jamie never tired of all my questions. We found lots of good size Rubies, and sapphires. $20 for 4 hours of mining. This is plenty of time. You get quite a workout doing this. We all thought it was enough time. Make sure you wear old clothes... More

We didn't come to the area for the mining, but these places are all over. Not all of them were open when we went, but we picked this place based on other reviews. It's a small place where you pick out what type of bucket you want, and then you sift through and rinse away to see what you will... More

My husband and I went and got a bucket. It was filled with all sorts of gemstones! We had a wonderful time! We will be back for sure! Everyone was so friendly and helpful. They really know how to make customers feel appreciated!

We had a great time panning for rubies and gemstones at this mine located right next to highway 441. It was a nice stop on our holiday!

We started here first. Found a 1000+ carat ruby in the $50 bucket!! We came back there two more times in one week because it was by far the best of the four mines we went to. People were extremely helpful and polite. We are going to have them cut some sapphires for us to make jewelry out of. By... More

Their open Sunday right off the highway so it was easy to fine. We bought two buckets and found lots of rocks that were gems. We would not be able to tell what was a gem or rock but they walk the line and are very helpful. I found a tourmaline that came from their own mined dirt. We ordered... More

Not the least expensive game in town, but not at all outrageous. Conveniently located on the US 441 bypass, very knowledgeable and patient staff. The seeded buckets are well seeded with many good gems. Went two days in a row and really enjoyed it both times.

Loved the experience of watching kids find gems in their pans. Worth the trip to enjoy the people at the flue.
