We had a great time panning for rubies and gemstones at this mine located right next to highway 441. It was a nice stop on our holiday!

We started here first. Found a 1000+ carat ruby in the $50 bucket!! We came back there two more times in one week because it was by far the best of the four mines we went to. People were extremely helpful and polite. We are going to have them cut some sapphires for us to make jewelry out of. By... More

Their open Sunday right off the highway so it was easy to fine. We bought two buckets and found lots of rocks that were gems. We would not be able to tell what was a gem or rock but they walk the line and are very helpful. I found a tourmaline that came from their own mined dirt. We ordered... More

Not the least expensive game in town, but not at all outrageous. Conveniently located on the US 441 bypass, very knowledgeable and patient staff. The seeded buckets are well seeded with many good gems. Went two days in a row and really enjoyed it both times.

Loved the experience of watching kids find gems in their pans. Worth the trip to enjoy the people at the flue.

The staff was friendly and helpful to the kids with their treasure hunting. Prices were reasonable. We got the $25 bucket for the kids to share. It was plenty. It's real dirt and clay, not sand like some places. They got dirty but had a blast.

We stopped here because I found rubies mining at Sheffield Mines and wanted to get them cut. The woman working was absolutely wonderful. She will be getting my rubies and turning them into a total of 6 carat ring for me and mailing it to me back in PA. I wish we would have mined here instead of Sheffield, the... More

Absolutely was pleasantly surprised at the sizes of the gemstones. It was great to just sit and sift through the sluth. We met the granddaughter and she was so helpful. (Love the Pink Beatle car... $ gas $) (We were the family near Wake Forest) This place truly deserves an A+ / you leave happy and satisfied with your "loot".... More

This was our 2nd visit. We found it changed from our 1st visit a year ago. May be they were having a bad day but the woman in charge was not very friendly or helpful, a bit sour, actually. The pail yields seemed less than the previous visit and there was not a lot of variety from the other mines... More
