Had a great time experiencing for the first time, the hard work it takes to native mine your own gems. We were lucky to find what we did thanks to my husband who knew where to dig. The people running the establishment were so welcoming, friendly, and very helpful. The price of $30 per person is a great deal because... More

A great place to spend the day digging for sapphires. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful; Dakota was a real gem himself, always ready to help identify and even helped me to find the ones I dropped under the sluice! Many thanks also to Todd for the helpful hints and advice. I will be back.

We had a great time! We did the native mining which is where you dig your own dirt and fill your buckets and sift out your stones. We got five buckets and found 12.05 carats of Sapphire. It was a lot fun. The water was so cold! Dakota and Ted were a lot of help at finding the stones. It... More

Service was good but as they often reminded us, it is called "mining not finding. " We knew this in advance so although we were disappointed in not finding more, it is no fault of the establishment. There were plenty of others around us that were finding sapphires. A must experience for a first time traveler to the area.

Have been here a number of times and enjoyed it each time. Staff is helpful and remain on site for questions and rock identification. It would be nice if they didn't re-run the dirty water in the flume and used clean water. However, other than that you will have a great time and probably find lots of native stones. We... More

We went to Mason's twice last year and it was amazing each time. We plan to return this year as well. We had SO much fun! We spent the most time with Dakota, Brandon, and Judie, who were all super friendly and very helpful. In two days, we got around 150 cts of sapphires, the largest of which was around... More

The staff is super friendly and helpful and do their best to guide you to the right places to dig for sapphire rich dirt! One low price and you can mine ALL DAY (no per bucket fees like some). They even cut you a break for young children!

What a great experience! It was our first time at the today and the staff was fantastic. Charlie has an eagle eye for helping you sort treasure from trash. Todd was so knowledgable and freely shared his experience with all the folks at the mine today. I feel as though I met my brother from another mother hahaha! While we... More
