The newly opened Veterans Park in Fayetteville, N.C. (which is next to the Airborne Museum) is impressive. The visitor center (inside) provides a writen summary of North Carolina's contributions to all major conflicts and wars from the 18th century to the present. Unlike any park I've ever seen, I attended the opening with my husband. The space is filled with water features, sculptures and lighting and is dedicated to all five brances of the military in honor of their service. The opening was full of kids enjoying the water features and adults admiring the recycled and incrdibly unique sculptures. There is a...
