This is a small park but they sure fit a lot into it. I can't say I understood the modern sculptures though. Even after reading the artist description I still didn't get it. My favorite part was the table set up inside the building and what everything on it symbolized. The sign was too big to post a picture of... More

A modern-era tribute to the servicemen of all eras, complete with modern-art sculptures and stunning 3-D waterfall monuments. This is "Hands-down" a different and beautiful monument complex and gardens.

(See my review under Spec. Ops Museum - visiting here is best when outdoor garden, which are spctlr., are in some kind of bloom. Also hot weather means ALL the fountains are on, which makes it evern MORE spcl.)

Visiting town as I work at the US Open golf tournament. Had a day off at the tournament and decided to see some "historical" stuff in Fayettville. Saw a couple of museums and then found myself at the Veterans' Park right next to the Airborne Museum. As a Navy Veteran from Gulf War I, I was SO impressed with the... More

Not your typical veterans park... Lots of meaning and the art items are made of military parts by nc artists. A completely different experience at night with dramatic lighting.

Wonderful park. Wish there were more to see and bigger grounds. Very informative and patriotic. Good overall experience.

This Park is like an outdoor museum, and really completed the wonder after visiting the Airborne & Special Ops Museum (both are joined by a walkway, less than a 5 minute stroll away from each other). The Veterans Park itself has three areas on a walk through our veteran's lives - before their service (where there are columns to honor... More
