A stark reminder of our nations past and how many have paid the ultimate price. I can't say it was a fun visit due to the nature of this place. I do think that if you are in the area you should stop there and remind yourselves of what took place in wars past

A little bit of a different picture of history--columns that represent each of the counties in NC (I think) with hand impressions. It has some beautiful areas for walks and a reminder of the cost of war--dog tags from every servicemember to ever die from the US>

We went there as part of our reunion and had our annual Memorial Service for our departed shipmates. The setting is pretty and the sense of respect is awesome.

This is a beautiful park. It was too hot today to enjoy it fully. But I can see sitting on the benches and spending some quiet moments in this park. The small museum attached was also informative. The display of all the dog tags of North Carolina service men killed in wars since wwII is sobering.

This place is amazing, you walk around and they have several things for you to look at, very well displayed, and is a great display for the veterans that have fought for our country.
