Historic downtown Fayetteville, NC is working hard to refresh and re-vitalize the area... and it is succeeding. My wife and I checked out downtown - spending some time browsing stores (and observing a LOT of cool eateries with outside seating)... One of the centerpieces of the area is the old, refurbished "The Cameo" movie theater. We stepped inside at 4... More

What a surprise! Make a point to see a movie that is playing upstairs--very comfy and cozy. This theater specializes in independent films and we saw our first one there last week. Downtown Fayettevile has a great atmosphere for dinner and a movie!

I love the Cameo! It's a great place to spend a Saturday afternoon! The movies they show are wonderful and I love the feel of the place. If you are in Fayetteville, you gotta go!

I love coming here. It is a small theater and only shows about 2 movies at a time, so you can't always get to see what you like, but it is a treat! Very clean, quiet, and the only place you can buy beer and wine and enjoy it with your movie! Very nice place, I always check here first... More

My wife and I were downtown this weekend bored as usual. So we got us some dinner and noticed this little theatre right next door. I figured I'd take her to a movie after dining. To my surprise this theatre serves beer and wine! So I was like wow! So not only did we see a very interesting movie, we... More

Cozy art house theater. Makes the ambiance in Downtown Fayetteville. No children, no cell phones, client base is more sophisticated. Great for couples that like films that make them think and for great entertainment.

We stayed overnight in Fayetteville on our way to my wife's parents in Hilton Head SC over Christmas. Our plan was to do a typically Jewish Christmas, movie plus Chinese Restaurant. The movie theatre we went to was the Cameo. The theatre has two screens, one downstairs and one upstairs, we went to the upstairs which had high, digital quality... More

My boyfriend + I went on a double date here for one of our first dates + the Cameo is, in my opinion, the best thing in downtown Fayetteville. The theatre is beautiful + intimate + romantic + they have great taste in films. Their snack + beverage choice is different from typical theatres in the area + I loved... More
