I like that this place is small quaint and if I want to have a beer while I watch my movie I can. Very nice location in downtown.

Christmas Day, my spouse and I were idly driving through downtown Fayetteville when we spotted a sandwich board on the sidewalk advertising "The Interview," which had previously been banned from viewing in commercial theaters. We excitedly pulled over and parked. The inside of the Cameo reminded me of the little arts theatre in the southwestern English town where I once... More

I love the options for foreign films. Staff is wonderful. They saved my husband's jacket that he'd left there.

I have attended this theater more than any in town. They are the only movie house to air the type of films I like and offer food and drink (including alcoholic). I subscribe to their mailing list and know weekly what they are showing. This something normally only found in large cities. If you live in Fayetteville, you are missing... More

We visited in August and fully enjoyed the theatre, the show, and the kindness of the proprietor. I communicated with him a few times prior to our visit to confirm show times and get a sense of where to stay in Fayetteville. He was very accommodating, even offering to hold tickets for us. The CAMEO is worth the visit! The... More

Nice place to attend a movie. Located in downtown Fayetteville, NC, it's a small theater, which shows current movies, and is reminiscent of the those in the 1950s but with all the modern technologies. There is a smaller theater upstairs, called the Loge. It has very comfortable leather seats that are so comfortable you feel like you're sitting in a... More

Historic downtown Fayetteville, NC is working hard to refresh and re-vitalize the area... and it is succeeding. My wife and I checked out downtown - spending some time browsing stores (and observing a LOT of cool eateries with outside seating)... One of the centerpieces of the area is the old, refurbished "The Cameo" movie theater. We stepped inside at 4... More

What a surprise! Make a point to see a movie that is playing upstairs--very comfy and cozy. This theater specializes in independent films and we saw our first one there last week. Downtown Fayettevile has a great atmosphere for dinner and a movie!

I love coming here. It is a small theater and only shows about 2 movies at a time, so you can't always get to see what you like, but it is a treat! Very clean, quiet, and the only place you can buy beer and wine and enjoy it with your movie! Very nice place, I always check here first... More
