This beautiful property standout amongst the many, many, fine historic homes Edenton has to offer. Right on the main street in center downtown Edenton, one can't help but notice the interesting cupola riding above the home's roof, for which it is named. In side they offer docent lead tours. The rooms are furnitured with both original and reproduced period pieces... More

Had heard much about the Cupola House and wanted to go to Edenton to take pictures of it. I enjoyed taking the pictures of it and the main street since it is located right there. Great way to spend about an hour.

Make sure the guide/docent tells you the history of the owners of the house! It has a lovely little 18th-century-style garden, too.

What a fine landmark, resurrected from shabbiness by visionary Edenton residents. The authentic 18th century gardens are lovingly tended by a crew of volunteers, and the interior has been beautifully restored, open for tours by appointment, and on special occasions. If you time your visit just right you might encounter a group of musicians playing early instruments in the garden,... More

Beautifully appointed rooms with a fascinating history; the garden was blooming and quite lovely. A nice place to get out of the local heat

The visitors Center has a great 2 hour walking tour where you get to visit three historical homes. I found this home interesting for the low ceilings in this southern home.

The house has an interesting and historic past. The rooms are furnished in period and the stories connected with the house are engaging.
