If you're coming from out of town & plan to visit, check on the schedule to make sure there are no weddings, etc going on. It will be closed to visitors during those time. If you come on a Sunday, the service starts @11 am, ends @ noon. Docents give a tours afterwards.

Very beautiful chapel on Duke's campus. Went to a wedding here. It holds a huge number of people. The architecture and details are something like I remember from Europe. Top rate Duke. Parking needs to be worked on but it is still a very charming and beautiful place to visit.

Chapel is more like a cathedral and rivals those of England. We thought a chapel would be a "chapel"; this was absolutely amazing.

I was here for Easter Sunday service and the choir is out of this world. A beautiful building for worship. There is free parking on weekends nearby and the blossoms were so beautiful in the gardens. Definitely worth a peek inside even if you are not there for the service.

This is a wonderful place to visit. If possible, try to go when the pipe organist is practicing. At the time of our visit, that was Monday at 12:30 PM. Amazing architecture.

When you think of Duke, you envision its gothic architecture and the chapel provides it. Very beautiful and a great place to take visitors.

We didn't see/take the handout that would have explained the various stained glass other items, so we have to wonder about them, but we enjoyed viewing the chapel.

This is one of the most beautiful buildings in the United States. It rivals any other cathedral built in the new world, not that I've been to them all, but I've been to St. Patrick's in NYC, which is a similar style but bigger and more ornate - gorgeous as well, of course. But Duke Chapel is quite impressive. Check... More

Duke Chapel provides an atmosphere and setting for worship that is unequaled in my book. Concerts, worship services, times just to wander in; it is spectacular. For 42 years we've come to the Chapel and I always anticipate another visit.

Duke Chapel is a beautiful place to worship, get married, attend a concert or simply visit. It is a wonderful testament to man's gift of producing something worthy and beautiful. The tower provides a good view of Durham and the Duke campus.
