We were looking forward to the visit as they were included on the NC wine trail. We phones and checked the web sites. All seemed to indicate mid-march opening. And hours listed as 12-5. At 12:30 on 3/29 the gates were closed with a sign saying see you in March. Bee phones and the vm said nothing about being closed... More

This vineyard was a Durham hidden gem. We went on a Friday afternoon and we were the only people tasting wine when we stopped in. The staff member was very knowledgeable about all of the wines the Southpoint offered as well as other local NC wineries. For $8 a person we tried the collection of wine. I would highly recommend... Out of souvenir glasses, out of most wines, whites served at room temp, poor service, and what few wines I tasted were subpar. The best thing of this winery was sipping on a frozen peach and white wine drink while sitting on the rock terrace by the pond with a fountain. The grounds are beautiful and relaxing.

Came here with friends as we had been driving by and had seen the sign many times and decided to finally stop by for an early Friday afternoon wine tasting! We moved here from California and have enjoyed the wineries in Napa and Sonoma and others so weren't quite sure what to expect. I have to say we had a... More

I bought a Groupon for a yoga, wine, and chocolate event that was being held at the Vineyards at Southpoint along with some friends. The parking area was packed when I arrived, and some people were parking in the grassy area on the side. I pulled in next to my friends, and in the process ran over a wooden pallet... More

We were expecting a relaxing Sunday afternoon. We have visited many wineries and this was by far our worst experience. They were out of most of the wines for the tastings. There were only 2 grape wines available and 4 fruit wines. No Riesling, Merlot, etc. as listed on the tasting menu. we had a Living Social deal and were... More

Traveling to many vineyards in NC, this one was a surprise. The wine was very good! Not muscadine that is typically bottled in NC. The atmosphere was quite pleasing and it was nice to sit outside after our wine tasting. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is that I would have preferred stools for the wine tasting... More

The staff was very friendly and knowledgable. The vineyard sits on a beautiful piece of propery with a pretty lake. The ceese platter was delicious. I eneded up purchasing a bottle of wine. I had a wonderful experience.

DO NOT HOST AN EVENT HERE! When I first decided this would be a perfect spot for our event, I called trying to get some information. They said I needed to talk to the owner however he was not there. I left a message and NEVER received a call back. I called several times after that and emailed him and... More

The staff is very friendly and know their business. The wines are very well done, although they tend to run out of some. This is a good sign but can be a bummer. The grounds are quiet and pleasant to relax in. I kept avoiding going there and now wish I had visited sooner.
