We went to see Bruce Hornsby here several years ago. We currently have tickets to see Boz Scaggs. It's not a huge venue, but it's comfortable, acoustics are good, and you don't feel like you're in a mosh pit. It's a CIVILIZED place, unlike one of the outdoor venues here.

Not sure what the capacity of the place is, but it's fairly small, which makes for an intimate setting for a concert. The seats themselves are old-school wooden seats - the kind we had in our grade school auditorium. Even so they "fit" given the decor and history of the place. I highly recommend it.

We were so anticipating a great concert with Joan Armatrading. Traveled to Durham, stayed overnight and ate great food at JuJu. But the concert was awful due to ear-splitting sound. Armatrading's voice was drowned out by her loud guitars. Known for her vocal range and unique voicings, Armatrading's voice was lost. We had to plug our ears. If this were... More

Had the pleasure of going to a concert here in February 2015. Definitely a pleasant departure from the typical concert venue. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and the historic building lives up to expectations. From what I could see, there are no bad seats, and the acoustics are great.

The employees and volunteers are genuinely generous in sharing their obvious appreciation for this restored showpiece. The restoration has accomplished satisfying the needs of a new generation of patrons, yet they have masterfully retained the ambiance of a time past when the venue itself was as important as the entertainment offering We're not so used life in the Artic, but... This theater is so cozy, you can't help but feel you've got some of the best seats in the house, no matter where you sit. Very clean. Old, historical nostalgia all around. If there's a performance here you want to see, you must go!

This beautiful old building has been recently restored. It has a nice auditorium and several movie theaters. It offers wine and beer by the glass -very reasonably priced. The staff is very nice and friendly. Warm and congenial atmosphere. The auditorium has good acoustics. Parking just across the way. We had a very nice evening.

Saw "The Great Divorce" in October. Thankful for those who preserve this classic theater with the classic look and "in the middle of the action" feel. The acoustics were amazing. We had great seats near the front. The chairs were not comfortable but once the show began, I forgot about them!

Saw Kathleen Madigan and she put on a great show. The staff was very helpful and passionate about the theater and its history.
