Our family thoroughly enjoyed the Durham food tour. The tour guide kept our "foodie children" engaged and provided city facts along the way. We stopped at 6 restaurants and really enjoyed meeting the chefs, owners and staff. They were so accommodating to the group and complimented the tour guide perfectly. I would highly recommend this tour for families and/or foodies.... More

We wanted to do the afternoon tasting tour but is was fully booked. So we decided to do the cocktail tour, starts at 3.15 PM. Our guide was very kind, funny and she knew some great facts about Durham. We visited 3 restaurants, 1 cocktail bar and the cupcake bar. Loved all of them! We had some great food and... More

This was our second tour with Taste Carolina and we absolutely love them. We live in Durham and even if we've been to a restaurant before we always get to learn and taste something new. The tour guides are phenomenal. They are super knowledgeable about the area are always entertaining. It is a perfect afternoon with family or friends.

My husband and I did the afternoon Durham food and drinks tour with Ashley and it was fantastic! Ashley did a wonderful job. Would highly recommend, definitely worth the money. You will leave the tour full! Great way to see the downtown area of Durham, learn about some of the city's history, and have some great food and drinks. The... More

We had a great Taste Carolina, Durham tour! It was the perfect blend of history, culture and food for our out of town group. Everyone found something that they liked and also sampled items outside their comfort zone. The owners & staff from each establishment were welcoming, knowledgeable and passionate about the food they serve. That really makes for a... More

Although we had a bit of rain, this was a really enjoyable way to spend a few hours. Our tour guide was prompt, witty, and very knowledgeable about the city and its offerings. The group itself comprised seven very interesting and engaging folks. The food and drink on offer during the tour were delicious and came in very generous servings.... More

Our guides were very informative and the food sampled was delicious Surprising enough you are full by the end of the tour. There is a fair amount of walking, but then you get to sit in each establishment in the A/C and enjoy your fare. I would recommend it most definitely.

I have done both the Raleigh and Durham Taste Carolina tours, and loved them both. The company coordinates with the "latest and greatest" restaurants and bars in the city. At each stop, not only do participants get to sample some delicious food/drink of the restaurant, but also hear from the restaurant owners/managers about the menu design, business ethos (locally sourced,... My daughter took me on this tour for a recent birthday. Even though we had eaten at several of the restaurants, it was interesting to hear their stories. A great variety of "tastes". As in all food tours, there was a bit of walking. Our tour ran a bit longer because some of the folks had a problem with the... More

Excellent restaurants, delightful afternoon. This showcased Durham's food Renaissance. We were well received at each establishment, all very different, all relatively recent additions to Durham. Good information from each chef/owner about their philosophy and food sourcing, delicious, creative food.
