If you visit NC and you want to have the ultimate experience in live entertainment, you must visit DPAC. It is a wonderful venue to see live events, i.e., concerts, broadway plays, etc. It reminds me of NYC. DPAC has plenty of parking. They offer snacks and refreshments as well as stand-alone bars. If you're looking for good dining options,... More

Thanks for this great review. Ultimate is a big adjective to live up to, but our team at DPAC is indeed dedicated to being the best place for live entertainment in the Triangle. I am also so glad you mentioned the great nearby restaurants as part of your review. There are over a dozen walkable places to eat and drink before... More

The EOE is a great show put on by our own students from 4th grade to 12th grade. While the production is great I found the sound system to be a little lacking. The kids were great I just wish I could have heard them a little better. The auditorium is large and the seats were comfortable. The sound may... More

I appreciate this feedback and wanted you to know that seating for most Broadway shows start at about $30 to $40, but some shows are even less with prices at $25. And if you have students...seats for many shows start at just $20 each. We sometimes also have tickets that are half-priced for buyers with a Harris Teeter Vic Card.... More

If you are in town when DPAC is doing anything - go! I have been to several plays both the broadway series and just a play coming through town. Great - all of them. The lines to the ladies room are long so if they offer you a choice of seats - near the back of a section is great.... More

I love the enthusiasm of your review and headline and know Trip Advisor readers will appreciate this endorsement. Plus there is good news to share. We are adding more women's restrooms which will give us 33% more capacity in 2015. I hope you can visit again soon! More

The seating arrangements at DPAC are really really good for sight lines, really there is not a bad seat in the house, yes on the third tier it seems like you are in the clouds, but you can still see the whole show. Excellent broadway shows and independent acts, couldn't ask for more variety, all in all an excellently run... More

Many thanks for taking the time to share this feedback with Trip Advisor readers. DPAC does have a variety of seating options and seats are always priced relative their closeness to the stage. It was good to hear your positive feedback also includes our balcony seating where prices are often $20 to $60 less than orchestra seating. Thanks again for... More

This is the second highest rated venue of its size in the country. EVERYTHING is well run with convenient parking decks within one block on either side. PLUS there is a new Aloft Hotel going in right behind the venue. They have many events here including concerts, food and wine tastings and the Broadway Show series every year. We just... More

On our first visit to DPAC, we attended a rock concert. Correspondence from the center beforehand was excellent, including reminders, directions, and information about parking. Check out their terrific Web site for all the information you need, including local restaurants (we ate at Dos Perros, about a block away; see my separate review of this really good somewhat upscale Mexican... This is definitely a great place to view theatre. I just wish there were more new shows, rather than repeats of shows I saw years ago. This part of Durham is HOT, with many restaurants closeby as well as the Durham Bulls Athletic Park
