I have been to two shows already and have purchased tickets for two more. I just love the DPAC center. All our seats have been great there and the shows outstanding. Parking is very reasonable and ample. We parked at the Tobacco area this past trip and would never have seen the beautiful falls and renovated area if we hadn't... More

Just saw "Motown The Musical" at DPAC. First time going to DPAC, but it is definitely a world-class venue. Seating was excellent...not so cramped as a Broadway theater. It is much bigger than a Broadway theater, but that is to be expected. Acoustics were great. Quality of shows that they attract is excellent. Plenty options for parking within a short... More

We have been so pleased with DPAC since it opened, both with the quality of the shows and entertainers it has attracted, and with the value received for the ticket prices. We moved here from NJ 8 years ago, and were missing our proximity to Broadway. DPAC has filled that void. We finally signed up for the Broadway Season ticket... More

Thank you for this very nice feedback. Please know that we too wish DPAC had escalators. Unfortunately the construction budget for DPAC just did not allow for that amenity. We are always looking forward to future improvements and hope that an escalator to the Orchestra lobby might be possible one day. Please keep the feedback coming! More

DPAC is a tremendous gem in Durham. We have now been to 4 or 5 touring musicals (Annie, Phantom, etc) and a couple of concerts as well. There is great parking, easy access and a wonderful facility with no bad seats in the house. We usually have something to eat nearby in the American Tobacco center and then walk over... More

Fantastic theater with fantastic shows. Easy to park. Easy to pick up tickets. Good restaurants around. The only criticism I have ever heard is that the shows go on no matter what the weather as long as the performers are already in town. That makes sense, but would be disappointing if you have tickets and cannot get there.

I enjoyed reading your review and thank you for this nice feedback. You comment on the weather is also timely with the winter storm we had just this week. Large entertainment and sports events are rarely cancelled unless the stars, players or cast are unable to perform. Events proceeded this week all over North Carolina including at the PNC Arena,... Rated as one of the top 10 performing arts center in the country for several years in a row, this venue is excellent. Not only is the facility great but DPAC attracts the best plays, shows, musicians and bands. Plus, the restaurants within walking distance are top notch.

DPAC provides the whole area east and west of Durham with wonderful performance opportunities. Any visitor to Durham or even in the triangle should check out the performances during your stay. The center is fully capable of hosting a Broadway show, a national touring concert as well as much smaller entertainment. It is interestingly informal and you are allowed to... More

My favorite reviews are the ones with the most detail. It's great that you took the time to share this feedback with other TripAdvisor readers. I also have some great news regarding restrooms. This May we'll be opening an additional ladies room that will increase capacity by 33%. For the big Broadway shows with so many women in attendance, unfortunately... More
