I drove a few hours to see one of my favorite musical groups here and was very disappointed. It's a beautiful space located in a historic Durham area however the facility was a letdown. The concert started late with an opening act that lasted about :45 and patrons then headed out to the lobby for drinks. The main act started... More

The Durham Performing Arts Center is a terrific venue with a lot of attention to service. The quality of the performance was amazing... straight from Broadway.

We attended a music awards show in this facility. Our view, and the sound in the "cheap" balcony seats was excellent. We were there early for a private reception which was also extremely well-done. This is a beautiful building

We had a blast at the "So You Think You Can Dance" live show. The Performing Arts Center was a beautiful venue, the staff were helpful, and the seating was nice, even though we were towards the back.

Phantom of the Opera was indeed a very good show. Based on audience feedback it was one of the top ten Broadway shows we have ever hosted. We appreciate you sharing your thoughts! More

A friend and I went to see The Ghost Brothers of Darkland County last night and I must say I was impressed with the venue. The staff were nice, attentive and helpful. The seats were as comfortable as could be expected, much more so than outer venues that I have been to.They don't have a "dress code" which I think... More

This performing arts center has been a fabulous addition to Durham. It is extremely well run, with very friendly staff and comfortable seating. Views are excellent from all sections and the quality of the shows have been first class. In addition to the Broadway musicals, there have been a huge number of performances by top artists and very well attended.... More

I've been to various concerts and shows of different varieties here and have never had a bad experience. It is spacious but yet you never feel terribly far away from the stage. We're fortunate to have such a great theatre in Durham with many great restaurants nearby at the American Tobacco complex or across the tracks (about a 10 minute... More

Brian...many thanks for this helpful review. It's especially great that you mentioned the many restaurants within walking distance. Downtown Durham has enjoyed a tremendous renaissance and it is great to see so many people out and about on show nights. Our website is a great resource for restaurants both within walking distance or a short drive. Cheers! More
