Last year we saw the boardwalk being built. This year it's all finished and is so nice for a stroll. But I liked it the best for the beautiful view of the sunset after eating dinner at Fishbones!

On my recent trip to the Outer Banks, my family and I decided to take a walk on the relatively new boardwalk in Duck. I was quite surprised at how long the boardwalk is. We would walk for a little bit and then there would be a group of shops, walk a little more, and then another group of shops.... More

The boardwallk was unique and quite long, following the ocean for three blocks or so. It had nice little shops, expensive restaurants, beautiful view, pretty flowers

We have seen the Town of Duck go from just Scarborough Faire Shops 20 years ago to dozens of stores and now a beautiful Town Park and Boardwalk. Do not miss a visit to the Park which includes a grassy lawn with stage, amphitheatre, playground, trails and the boardwalk. It is so neat to walk the paths and explore. Visit... More

I's not a 'beach boardwalk' in the conventional sense for better or for worse (e.g., amusements, arcades, pizza and other junk food, etc.) so you'll need to vanish those expectations. Outside of that though, it's a nice setup and the sunset views are beautiful. Overall, it's not very compelling for 40 somethings and younger. The tongue in cheek remark from... More

The local shops are so amazing ranging from Duck Donuts to Kitty Hawk Kites. There are many different gift/novelty shops and quite a few sell local artists' work. We took our 1 year old in his wagon and he enjoyed the scenery. Stopped at Duck Deli BBQ on the way back. We will definitely be returning!

Shops were cute, but the boardwalk itself offered outstanding views walking directly on the sound, wildlife and the most beautiful sunset ever.

So overdue to connect all of the fantastic little stores Duck has to offer and it provides a safe means to get to all of them!

Duck is totally different than any other beach town I have been. I love the non-commercialization of the area. The boardwalk is nothing like I have seen before with the layout and how it is set up. The shops are very eclectic and nice. The place is very clean and family friendly. I really enjoyed this trip. We will definately... More
