This was an absolute surprise! We were expecting the usual pleasant but honky tonk boardwalk but this was a delight. Out over the water, back into the woods. Lovely. Saw a fox a couple of times. Just a lovely mile of picturesque scenes. We were there in early May when it was not crowded. Not sure what it would be... More

The boardwalk has been constructed along the shores of the west side of the island. It's well constructed, thought out and connects to different shopping areas. Along the way, you can view Osprey nests, unusual birds and fish. It's an easy stroll and a real plus to the town of Duck.

After a busy day walking the Atlantic beach and exploring the estuarine reserve this was a welcome calm stroll with ice cream to catch sight of numerous wildlife species and stop periodically to sit on a bench and look over the sound. There are many shops one could browse in. We chose not to.

This boardwalk is so nice. We walked the whole thing from end to end. it is about a mile each way. you can see awesome views of the sound, birds, and turtles. just park your car in one spot, and walk to all of thhe cute shops along the way. no need to fight traffic and keep parking in different... A nice walk with small kids. We saw geese, ducks, turtles, frogs, deer, birds, and more. Lots of options for shopping and food along the way if that's what you are looking for too.

We enjoyed your new boardwalk. We saw fox, raccoons and several large birds. It really needs better lights for night time use. There are very dark places.

I like how the wooden boardwalk meanders along the shoreline with plenty of restaurants and shops to poke through. Looking out on the sea was restful and beautiful. BUT... it smelled bad from the debris, seaweed and god know what else that was trapped along the boardwalk posts and it looked terrible with horrible things in that debris... I was... More

There is nothing more wonderful to do in Duck than to walk the entire boardwalk! It is perfect for families--the little ones can roam the area without fear of getting hurt while the babies can stay snug in strollers. There are lots of fun shops and wildlife to feed, too. I feel relaxed right now just thinking about it.
