Quaint shops selling a broad range of quality items, I loved the local themed Christmas Tree decorations and the people were really friendly

The boardwalk in Duck is the perfect spot for a sound-side stroll through the town. While only a select few shops are open in the off-season, the peacefulness of the sound is always welcome. I've also visited Duck in the summer and the shops are great!

Love walking here. You can stop for some shopping or a bite to eat. Or you can just enjoy the great sunset or people watching!

Nice little walk along the boardwalk during Christmas week. No one was around during a sunny afternoon stroll on Christmas Day. However, there was really no wildlife to see either, excepting a few Canadian geese.

Adding the boardwalk overlooking the sound was a brilliant way to add shops and restaurants without detracting from the natural area too much. Nice way to have a stroll, shop or sight see. Benches are available for those that just want to sit. Duck did well adding the boardwalk.

Being there after the season ended some shops were closed. We did meet and had a pleasant conversation with one store owner. Enjoyed the scenery.

Early morning walk was nice. Got to see the amphitheatre and the well-manicured landscaping. Views of the sound were pretty. Liked the way the boardwalk curved and had lookouts. Easy access to shops.
