We went 4 wheeling one day on our visit. What a blast!! We saw many wild ponies and we enjoyed exploring the sand streets of the neighborhoods. I recommend it to anyone with a 4x4 vehicle. More

Great beaches but watch out for vehicles. Close to some great parks including False Cape State Park just across the border. It's also a short boat ride from Knotts Island. You may see the wild horses but primarily its a place of solitude among the dunes but has been overtaken by beach houses. More

Great place to 4 wheel drive to the beach. The wild mustangs come and eat right out of your hand while sitting in your chair along the edge of the ocean. Only problem on holiday weeks and high tourist season it's fairly dangerous. Too much traffic driving where everyone is sunning. More
