We knew we would pass MWR first heading to JGR, then Stewart-Haas and then Hendrick. Since it will be closing and I've read how great it is for fans we did stop here. There is a tour that we did not have the time to wait for and I'm not sure if it was free. Either way, we were able... More

If you are only going to visit one race shop in the Charlotte area, be sure it is MWR!! Hands down the best of the shop tours!! The fan access to the work area is fantastic. You walk on elevated platforms and are able to look down on the work floor. They also have placards that explain what you are... More

OK, I am not an avid Nascar fan. However, I did enjoy this facility. It was interesting even for me. They allow you to see the activities down in the workshops with videos to explain what is going on. They will sell parts of cars, tires, sheet metal, and clothes. The staff was very friendly. It is easy to park... More

And it's FREE!! An amazing garage, built with the fan in mind. MWR has catered to his fans with a garage tour given by Dean R who is very entertaining. Well worth investing your time to visit! Mikey! You done good! Thank you!

Awesome race shop. Dean was a great tour guide! You can see so much here. Everyone was very nice. I would go back. Must see if you are in the area and it is free ☺

We visited several race shops on our visit to Charlotte and this was the most up close and personal. You are able to look down into the garage area from the second story, so many areas of the garage were visible to visitors. We also took a behind the scenes tour, which was informative and interesting. All of the areas... More

NASCAR is the name of the game in N.C. When Kansas friends came to visit. We showed them the local race venues. Michael Waltdrip's is a must see !!!

This was a really great shop, they have it set up for viewing the different departments and seeing the guys working. We did the shop tour as well and got to go into the fab shop but only at the door. Saw the big rigs getting ready to go and doing maintenance.

lots to see but a little expensive. If you have someone who loves racing this is fun, but with my boys who were both under 8 when we went it was a short trip.

This was quite a place! Not only can you buy t shirts and key chains, but you can buy race used brake rotors, bearings, sheet metal, banners, and tires! You can see into the different areas of the garage and the guys working on the cars. The garage floor is SO clean it's amazing! You can also see race cars... More
