Cherokee's and western North Carolina's number one tube and raft trip...

Cherokee's and western North Carolina's number one tube and raft trip with over 200 tubes in stock, which means no waiting! We have tube and raft trips designed for everyone of every age. A great experience to see the Smokies from a unique point of view. Always cool and refreshing during the summer heat, a relaxing float down the Oconoluftee River is a welcome departure from the crowds of the reservations busy summer months. A Cherokee favorite for over 15 years!

SMT was the choice place. It's a small building that looks like a cash only but they do take cards. The staff were friendly and gave you hints on where to stay so you wouldn't get stuck. This was fun! A buddy of mine and Myself wanted to take a break from fishing and such so we decided to go... More

Thanks SMT for ALWAYS being the best! We've used SMT for every river tubing trip we take in Cherokee. Girls trips, couples trips, family trips etc. Every time has been nothing but EXCELLENT! They are top notch and the concern for everyones safety is #1 concern. Special thanks to Thomas for always being informative on the rides up the mountain... More

My wife, daughter, son in law and myself went tubing on a Saturday with this company. The price was only ten dollars a person. My wife and I are in our 50's and our daughter and son in law are in their twenties. The route is very long, full of protruding rocks and some swift rapids. My wife fell off... More

We visited in early August and enjoyed it for the most part. I am a bigger guy and I had a rough time getting unstuck from the rocks. If you are larger like me, it might not be a good time. The cold water feels great but if you can't negotiate the rocks, then it can get very frustrating. If... More

We spent a great Saturday afternoon tubing in Cherokee. We wen with Smokey Mountain Tube and Raft because the parking lot of the other outfitter was full. They have nice large tubes with handles and a holder for a water bottle, and they also have life jackets available. $10 per person is very reasonable. They drive you up to under... More

You have to do this if you're in Cherokee! We went tubing down the river through this company. It was only $10. It was really fun and somewhat relaxing. The only reason I have it ranked as 4/5 stars instead of 5/5 is because the staff was kind of rude and rushed. But you only have to see them when... More

My husband and I considered riding the tubes in the GSM National parks however after all the hiking we did the two days before we were not up for the hikes to get to the top of the tube so we decided to go to SMT. We absolutely loved it from beginning to end we had no idea what was... More

At $10 per person it was very reasonable. You park at their location, they bus you up to the drop in point and then pick you up again at the end. The ride is pretty easy and moves along for the most part. Most of it is pretty shallow and rocky so you are able to stand but the rocks... More

We stayed in Murphy,NC and chose to take a drive to Cherokee to go tubing and I am sure glad we did. Smoky Mountain Tubing was great its the longest tubing ride in the area and it was so much fun. We went tubing at the end of our trip 30 min south of Murphy and it was nothing compared... More

My husband and I didn't actually do this, but we watched over 100+ people do this all day as we sat on our room balcony over the river. They had an amazing time. All laughing and waving as they floated by. The ducks didn't mind either! They loved the people! Awesome nature's lazy river!
