Great

We had a great time here. The park is beautiful. They have picnic tables thru out the park. Bathrooms were clean. The river was a lot of fun and clean we will go back next year.

Set along the river, this park was clean and beautifully maintained. The best part was you could actually get in the river. Picnic tables, both open and covered, charcoal grills, and lots of room to relax and play. Great family spot!

The park is a super place to take your lawn chairs, picnic supplies, and enjoy the cold, cold Oconaluftee River. The only downfall is that parking is not convenient to the picnic tables or the water. You must walk a short distance lugging all your stuff!

Beautiful peaceful park with awesome clean and and shallow water allowing young and old to enjoy the water together in a way I haven't seen since I was a kid camping across country. At night there is a story teller and fire which was great also!

Part I i s culture, history, revised political correctness Part II is roasting marshmallow Part III is legends. Our 8 year old grandson liked part I, the other kids lost interest and went to play in the river. They were rapt for part III while the 8 year old was bored. Adults preferred the legends to the lecture. Firepit is... More

Enjoyed a picnic, then played in the river. Fun... Free was a great bonus, and lots of kids so my son got to talk to peers and enjoy time with someone he hasn't been stuck with all week.

What a great park in town. Lots of beautiful bridges to walk over and folks can actually swim or tube in the river there. It rained in torrents the day we went and the river was swollen and rushing, but it was lovely to walk around and look down from all the bridges. Love this park!

This is a small park that is nice to play and relax in, especially if you are not interested in all the Native American tourist places. There are rocks to climb, geese/ducks to feed, picnic tables, and easy access to the river. Buy a raft or tube from the store just up the road (prices from $8-$30) and let them... More
