We bought an annual membership and will go back again and again. We love the rafting and that is only one of the many things you can do there. A perfect day is some rafting and then ropes course followed by good food and local beer on draft. We also suggest the summer festivals that take place at the center.... More

This is absolutely a great place to go on a date, with a group of friends, family or corporate/church group----providing the people you go with are outdoor and adventurous...You need to wear appropriate clothing, but what a fun diversion to everyday living...the whitewater rafting is very fun and exciting, the ropes courses and zip lines are exhilerating, the bike trails... The National Whitewater Center is certainly worthy of a visit. Lots of hands-on activities, and, if you are in town during try-outs or practices, the best in the world can be seen. Often there are concerts or other 'things' to hear and watch. Food options are good.

Wonderful place to enjoy the great outdoors with a variety of things to do. Trails are great for hiking or biking (bikes available to rent). Whitewater rafting, kayaking and paddle boarding is always good for refreshing in the heat laughs for the whole crowd. Picnic areas are available for eating and relaxing between activities. Zip lines, adventure course, canopy tour and... More

The White Water Center is a great activity for most people. If you do not want to participate in adventure activities, it is probably not for you, but the activities are fairly tame with some level of risk and lots of thrills. The restaurant is very good and very popular. My first zip line was here and I was petrified... More

The US National Whitewater Center is awesome for outdoor adventure with more activities than you can even do in a day! It's also a great place for just hanging out with friends. The food is very good and it's a great place to be outside watching the people, especially the rafters and enjoying the frequently free live music.

This is a phenomenal facility that offers something for everyone. The whitewater rafting is great and fun for the whole family. There are other things to do like a climbing wall, biking and hiking. This is a must if you are visiting in NC or the Charlotte/Asheville area. I have also utilized this facility to offer team building opportunities to... More

My grandchildren from Michigan came to visit me and we all wen to the US National Whitewater Center. They loved the zip line and rock climbing and I had fun watching and taking pictures. Didn't go rafting thought the water would be too cold, so maybe on their next visit,

There is so much to do here. Because we live close, we tend to go to the concerts on Thursdays and Saturdays in the late Spring and Summer. I have never had a bad day at the Whitewater Center. Last year my nephews came down for Spring Break and they have't stopped talking about it.

An interesting place to sit out on the terrace and have lunch, take a walk, or raft and kayak! An unusual attraction for Charlotte...
