We found this by accident and we're glad we stopped. We did not get there early enough for the shop tour, but the museum was very interesting to my husband, who is the racing fan. He thought the museum had some interesting racing history and was worth the visit itself, and it was free!

On a recent trip to Savannah, we decided to drive up to Charlotte to visit the complex. We enjoyed looking at everything in the museum, then asked one of the employees what other buildings we could tour. She was very nice and suggested we walk up to the shop area then come back down and see if they were having... More

Plan a visit, it is worth it if you know anything about NASCAR. Great history, presented very simply. Allow a few hours to visit.

This was a nice visit with no cost! It was enough NASCAR to keep the non-fan interested. For Hendrick Team fan's I'd say it is a must visit. May have sparked enough interest for the wife and kids to make a NASCAR Hall of Fame visit worth the money next time we are in the area!

I could not believe how big Hendricks Motorsports complex was. The museum was great (and the gift shop😊). The only thing that was a little disappointing was going to Jr/Johnson car shop to see the garage. You could barely see anything cause all you had was a garage door to look thru and it was fenced off. Gordon/Khane garage had... More

Visited with two young grandchildren, had no idea what to expect, walked away delighted. Conveniently located near the Speedway, this should be on any racing fans list of things to do in Charlotte. And we bought some nice souvenirs in the gift shop.

Mr. Hendricks was kind enough to allow us to visit his personal collection of cars and it is amazing! Not only the MANY fine cars but key parts of his life are there - from his parent's old store to his first dealership and the first car he ever bought.

Hard to find...off the beatin path.... After stopping at 2 places trying to find this place, we finally found it. I guess finding enough land was hard??? Very nice place. I really enjoyed the engines on display and the descriptions of the parts and how they have changed over the years. overall it is larger than Stewart haas Racing as... More
