I am not a huge fan of Roller coasters; but for a fun day with the family/kids Carowinds is the place to take your thrill seeking kids. The prices are a bit steep ON EVERYTHING from admission to food to games... but if you go in expecting that I guess its not so bad. The one thing that always strikes... More

I appreciate this park for realizing that many enthusiast love to ride roller coasters. There are well over 10 different types, wooden roller coasters, hyper roller coasters, and small looping roller coasters too. The place was clean and relatively easy to get to all the rides. My entire family enjoyed themselves and we look forward to coming back next year... More

Carowinds is an excellent place to bring the family! Be sure to keep in mind lines can be very long especially in the summer. If you do go on a hot day, visit the waterpark. The slides and wave pools are very refreshing and usually very clean. Only downside is that it becomes very crowded, choose the day you visit... More

I am not big on rides but it was a nice visit for my 9 yr old son as it was his first visit. He especially liked the Peanut characters and had his picture made with them. If you like tall and fast roller coasters then this is the place.

It's an awesome park, I've been hoping for 14 years. I have fun every single time. The lines get annoying but it's like that everywhere. I wouldn't prefer the food or games except the Chic fil a, and the Sweet Frog. There is a Ci Ci's Pizza 5 minutes away. I would go after 4 to get $30 admission unless... More

I have been going to Carowinds ever since I was a child, and I love the park! Great prices (for an amusement park), great attractions, not to long of a wait, and more... 5 star park.

This unique theme park which is located in both North and South Carolina is a wonderful stop when traveling in the south. The roller coasters and other rides are top quality and are well maintained. The food is decent but a little pricey. The grounds are well-kept, and most of the employees are friendly. The water park is included with... More

This park has some fantastic roller coasters. My wife and I paid $37 a person for entrance to the park. We stood in line for one ride (which took an hour) and decided we had to have the fast passes, otherwise we would spend our entire day in lines only managing to ride maybe 5 rides. I soon find out... So much fun! We brought family who lives in VA and we had a blast! The Intimidator, Night Hawk and Carolina Cobra are a must-ride!! The food is a little pricey so it's a good idea to bring snacks or eat before you go. Carowinds is a short drive from our house so we are considering getting a season pass... More

I had a terrible experience this year during our annual Carowinds trip. We normally go in September, on a Sunday, but this year, regrettably, we decided to in August to accommodate someone's schedule. We were there in the heat for over 7 hours and made it to 3 rides. Most of our trip was spent in the line for those... More
