We live in Charlotte and finally made it to Carowinds this past week (July 2014). Their waterpark, Boomerang Bay, was a lot of fun. They didn't have a life jacket small enough for our infant even though they promoted it on their poster and it was a rule that our baby had to wear it if we were going to... More

My son and I like roller coasters and have visited some of the major places, Disney, Universal, etc. Carowinds is a smaller park that you can really enjoy in a day, with some excellent roller coasters. Intimidator is one of our favorites of all, a very smooth riding coaster; first drop over 200 feet, just a lap bar and no... More

I was born one year before Carowinds first opened in the 70's and can only remember one or two summers since that I haven't made the trip to the NC/SC line to enjoy the coasters and attractions. Now, I get to take my kids and out of town guests each summer. As with any event location, it's only as good... More

We are Season Pass holders for the 3rd year. This trip included my husband, me, our 2kids and my brother, his wife, & his 4 kids who traveled from a few states away for the trip. On this particular visit we had 4 adults, 12 yr old girl, 11 yr old girl, 10 yr old boy, 8 yr old boy,... More

Good as far as attractions go. Great coasters and better than average kiddo area. Lots of awesome roller coasters; upside-down, free falling fun. The water area was a nice surprise in addition. The crowds were annoying but could be worse. I didn't notice but wife and child mentioned the women's bathrooms were disgusting. I saw trash cans overflowing along with... More

We got there as the park opened, and The first thing we did was go to the bathrooms after our long drive. Every single toilet was clogged and filthy. Since we got there at opening, we have to assume that they had been clogged since the night BEFORE. The next set of bathrooms we could smell from the OUTSIDE. We... More

Wild roller coaster heaven but a little too wild for me. The log flume was the best. The water park was okay just long lines for the best slides but that's to be expected. Do not buy any food or drinks. The prices are ridiculous. We packed a lunch and ate at the car. The pool changing rooms are pretty... More

We had a delightful day at Carowinds on the 4th of July. We were celebrating the 8th birthday of our Grandson. We rented 2 Cabanas and used that as "home base". I highly recommend that. It was useful for "time out" of the hustle & bustle, close to attractions the kids enjoyed and close to the Tide Pool. We could... More

We bought season passes this year and have been to the park twice now. We go during the week and it is not crowded at all. Park is generally clean and every employee we've come in contact with has been friendly enough. Between the water park and the rides there is plenty to do here. Wish there was a nice... More

Great rides, Lots of roller coasters! Wait times were pretty shot except for the Batman ride. The wait was worth it though. Food and drinks are expensive, but that's normal for any theme park.
