The fact that the city realized having a urban greenway for people to walk/ride/run, walk dogs throughout the various neighbhorhoods of charlotte without risking their lives and walking along the roads is a stroke of genius. The little sugar creek greenway continues to be a wonderful thing and helps make the city more beautiful

Great place to stroll, bike, and bike with magnificent view of city skyline but without the sounds and smells of vehicular traffic.

Excellent walk - well connected to Freedom park, lots of places to sit, and interesting displays. I really enjoyed walking through the path, and see what was done to rebuild this natural stream back to a wetland.

I work a block from the greenway and love using it on my lunch breaks. Bring my kids on the weekends to ride their bikes. It is pretty safe and nicely lit. The creek is clean, the park and rec department really takes care of this Charlotte Gem!

This was a nice way to see the city from a far and still get in a good walk. The waterscapes and art along the way are a plus. Hopefully those that visit can help maintain and not pollute as there was some garbage thrown about.

I enjoyed the natural scene and wildlife, but as I continued back towards my car, I heard some uhm...noises coming from under the bridge. As pedestrians and bicyclists passed, I could see a naked man on top of a woman who was the source of the noise. I took a detour and walked along the city streets back to the... More

This was discussed and planned for many years - and it's great to see it finally realized. Many locations along the Greenway to rent a bike. Nature Museum, places to play or sit, educational displays. Restaurants and other services nearby. Couples, families or even solo. Most portions very accessible. Primarily along a creek, lots of wildlife.

Grab a free bike or take a walk down this trail by the creek. Lots to see and do along the way. Great for singles, couples, or families. Ducks are cute in the spring too!

I lived downtown for 6 years before I explored the greenway and now I'm so mad I've been missing out! I will be reviewing the portion right near downtown from CPCC @ 7th street through Freedom Park... It is a great place to walk/run. I will warn that it gets really crowded in the afternoon/evening/weekends so if you are trying... More

The Greenway threads its way across a good part of Charlotte, currently about 25 miles in five segments. Eventually it will be a part of connected trails all around Mecklenburg County totaling about 130 miles. The greenway consists of walking/biking tails alongside various creeks. Because stream restoration is a part of the greenway project, the trail offers numerous educational displays... More
