A beautiful urban walk to Independence Park from Elizabeth. Plenty of eateries and shopping along the way to distract you if wanted. There is also a trolley at Elizabeth to downtown. I hope this walk way continues to develop and gain in length. It was a great idea and I enjoy the area as well.

I love this park! It's very convenient to the Metropolitan and Uptown. Great place to walk or bike ride along the Little Sugar Creek. Not sure where the Little Sugar Creek Greenway ends and Midtown Park begins but it is all nicely integrated. I love the great lawn, the sculptures, and the trellis walkway. Beautiful place to take photos. So... More

This greenway is a beautiful place where you can walk/jog and bike. The path switches pack and forth over the creek as you wind behind uptown. You can go through Freedom Park and take a break in front of the beautiful ponds.

This is a place that has had EXCESSIVE amounts of dollars spent on it. ALL tax payer's money. With, by the way, few having a say as to whether or not to build it. It is pretty. But there have been excessive amounts of useless EXPENSIVE art placed here. Some of which, I am afraid, is only "art" in the... More

This is one of my favorite runs (or walks) in Charlotte. The city did a great job cleaning up one of the biggest environmental mistakes in the last 100 years. Once they freed the creek from the concrete tunnel, the beauty became apparent. We love this little urban oasis.

walk walk walk. When I lived in CLT this was the place that I would spend a great deal of time on my days off breathing fresh air in the city.

Its the most approachable place from the uptown. I took a walk up here and enjoyed the refreshing walk along with the mild drizzle. The surroundings are very refreshing. When you are worked up with the hussle bustle of city, this is the place to go and venture around the greens.

As many times as I've been to Charlotte, I just recently discovered this greenway! I walked it from Freedom Park to the downtown area and it was an amazing walk, with great views of the city, pretty sitting areas, and all very safe. I would definitely recommend this walk for those seeking a walk in a park within a larger... More

We enjoyed a nice walk on the Greenway with our dog while visiting relatives for Thanksgiving. There is so much to see along the way, including the Vietnam memorial and some nice views of uptown.

A pleasant walk starting in Uptown Charlotte. I have walked this gem of a Greenway from Uptown to Freedom Park on numerous occasions and weather. They did a wonderful job with the path and landscaping. There are a 2-3 places that may get mucky and wet during or after a rain. I love the swings and fountain by the Elizabeth... More
