Took my one year old granddaughter to ImaginOn for the Clifford exhibit and was very surprised at the size of the complex and the amount of activities for children of ALL ages! I noticed that they had day programs going on and also have an attached theatre with summer camps running. Also considered a library books are located by age... More

Plenty of interactive things to keep the kids entertained and for which they can use their imagination. The puppet show and iPads were a big hit. We will frequent the Imaginon this summer!

Very nice library. Half of it was closed dut to maintenance. Theater is for children under 3 years old.

The first time I stepped into the ImaginOn years ago when on a visit to Charlotte, I burst into tears. Silly for a grown woman, but I instantly was transported back to being a child in love with story, imagination, and libraries. Never have I seen a library that so encourages creativity. The huge mobile in the center of the... More

Please understand that this is a library. The majority of the place is just library which is broken into section age appropriate for different readers. Having said that though - Bring the Kids! In the kids sections, there are great play areas and - of course - books! Also, check their "For Sale" section as books are really inexpensive. This... More

The kids (toddlers) loved this! This place is not JUST for books! It has centers for kids where they can play on computers, a stage and costumes where they can do roll playing, many different areas to interact and there are always a bunch of other toddlers with whom to interact. They also have a theater there where they do... More

Want something to do on a cold rainy day. Go to imaginOn! My daughter had a great time with all the areas to promote creativity and we picked out some books.

Cat in the hat was good... The audio and lights system was great... Good set up for a play... Only gripe was metal bars in balcony that don't leave an adult with much leg room. I definitely will come back to see another play.
