Bring a blanket, a picnic, towels and your tarot cards. Imagine the head speaking your truth like the Oracle in Greece, meditate on it and take in the Charlotte "90% of the time " Sun. For laughs, watch the little ones chase each other around the fountain one hundred times and get soaking wet, thus the towels. There is business... More

It is an architectual wonder, however, it is a crude means of establishing the sense of accomplishment of a people...(an attempt to mirror the achievements of the constructors of the pyramids)

I stopped here on a road trip. I thought it was in a real park but instead found it located in a corporate plaza. The piece itself is absolutely stunning. Pictures on the web do it no justice. There's nothing to do here, but it was a good place to stop and stretch my legs. I went on a Saturday... More

This is an impressive sculpture/fountain but apparently does not split-rejoin yet - so once it is fixed it could be much more interesting an impressive - I guess it is still being repaired.

My family and I stopped to see this while traveling through Charlotte. VERY COOL! There is nothing to "DO" here and nothing else to see, but my family (hubby, me, & kids 14, 11, 8). Thought it made for some pretty fun pics. We were only here for about 15-20 min, but it's FREE and was a fun way to... More

The head was under repairs for several months late last year until early this year. The head used to split apart and each part spin around independently as it spit water all around too. It was awesome to watch and at times you thought it was going to spin right out of the fountain. Unfortunately when they put it back... More

Drove out here to check this out because of the reviews, gotta say its real neat. Czech artist made it I guess, very unique piece. You'll only spend 5 mins tops at this so if you're crunched for time don't bother.

we arrived in this business park where the Metalmorphosis is located around dusk and were very pleased to see this. The fountain was working and it was spectacular .....another gentleman pulled up while we were there and he told us he was going to make a documentary on art pieces throughout Charlotte. This sculpture was created by a Czech artist.... More

Since we were already on this side of town after a visit to the dog park, we stopped by. Like most great works if art, it looks exactly like the pictures, but it still takes your breath. At sunset, it's gorgeous.

Is a very nice sculpture. But is in the middle of a business area with nothing else around. You will need to drive 15 mins from downtown and you will not spend more than 5 minutes taking pictures. If you are time constrained go somewhere else.
