Lake Norman offers a great sailing lake. It's location offers many neat marinas and restaurants. The wind offers excellent sailing for being on the east coast. Shopping nearby is awesome and unique.

Always a good time. Really! It's the lake! What could be bad? Just have to get an invite and go. Friends with boats are a plus.

Very beautiful place! I thought it was going to be some boring sightseeing thing that the wife was dragging me to but I really enjoyed it. There are dog parks, pinic areas, piers, nature trails. Really a nice place to go and relax and enjoy life.

Lake Norman has so much to do, it would take days to explore it. From boating, fishing, shopping and eating you can find it all. Sandbar in the summer is the place to party,.

For those without boat access Jetton Park (Cornelius) and Latta Plantation (Huntersville) though small, both have some nice picnic areas on... More

We rented a pontoon boat for a cruise around Lake Norman. We originally rented the boat for four hours, but we had so much fun we called the rental company and requested to keep the boat all day. The Lake is huge and the views of the beautiful homes are amazing. We are very amatuer boaters, but we had no... More

Lake Norman is enormous. There are so many small coves, you can always find a great place to ski, tube or swim.

as we did not come across much info about it, we just stopped off at a small cove which was very peaceful, bur probably missed out on the prettiest parts. Cannot remember the name of the area, but there was no noticeboard for information.
