We visited the lake over our long weekend in NC. The lake was clean and beautiful. The homes around the lake were magnificent, and the residents and fellow boaters were friendly and accommodating. The only complaint is the lack of restroom facilities. More

The lake is huge and very popular. The Landmark is a great out of the way place to get Ostrich burgers or ribs! Wouldn't know it from the outside! More

It's a great place for a picnic and peace and quiet overlooking the lake. Lakes are wonderful places of water. It has benches and tables laid out around and nice little pathways to walk around. Pretty area. More

Lake Norman State Park has a couple hiking trails that are fun, especially the trail that follows the shore. Other than that, I don't know what is so special about Lake Norman. It would be much prettier to look at if it wasn't surrounded by highways and mansions. And there are not a whole lot of activities in this area... More
