Loved some individual properties, but zoning laws must be lax in Lake Norman, as we saw few communities, with similar homes, and instead saw fancy homes next to trailers with trucks and dogs on the loose next door.

This Lake was so beautiful. We brought our boat and spent the whole week of July 19th there. We rented a house on the water. The water is crystal clear. You can see at least 8 feet below top of water. It never made you feel stinky or gross being in it. For all you boaters out there, This is... More

There is a reason why this huge mud puddle is called the Red Neck Riviera. Over pretentious millionaire mansions surround this cess pool therefore making it the "chic" place to go for the upper crust wannabes. Couple that with the indigenous trailer park trash that inhabit the areas outside the lakefront especially on the Lincoln and Iredell county sides and... More

Our family held their annual family reunion here last week. The park staff were courteous and accommodating the whole time during planning. When we got to the pavilion it was clean and comfortable. The rest rooms were very clean considering they are in the woods. We could see the lake from our pavilion but it was a bit of a... More

Shallow throughout, no coves to go hide in unless you aren't afraid of getting stuck. Really small and seemed pretty crowded.

I recently rented a boat and sailed around Lake Norman on it. It was one of the most exciting things I did while in Charlotte! I was on this boat with my family, where we simply cruised around the lake, and stopped in several places to swim. The lake is clean and cool in temperature, which made swimming even better.... Lake Norman is beautiful and it is HUGE so you can visit many spots and it never feels the same. Worth renting a boat just to explore the waters! Be careful during drought season though because the water level might be low in places you don't expect!

Lake Norman's a great place to get in the water!!! Easily accessed from several bedroom communities of the Charlotte area with great eateries close by!

After many years coming to Charloette and hearing how beautiful Lake Norman was. I had a chance to going fishing on it. I jumped on opportunity and I wasn't disappointed. Houses on the lake are beautiful. Fishing was great. Wish I had cash to build a place here. It was a great day on the lake.
