We bought a condo on the like and are enjoying the beautiful views and quiet reflections. It is wonderful to sit on a bench and gaze at the water. We enjoy watching the water sports on the lake as well as the quiet fisher people.

Very crowded. Drunks on their pontoon boats have zero regard for human safety in smaller water craft. Over rated place to be.

The lake is big around Charlotte Area. I went here for boating and enjoy my weekend with friends. The water was good and really enjoyed the time spent here.

Well, just about every country song is about the lake & summer fun, beers in hand and what not. I don't like country music, but they nailed it right on the head. Water at #LKN is clear, never nasty, and the Rusty Rudder always has gas....

Nice lake north of Charlotte. We visited during the week so there was no fee, no food, or drinks to purchase. Our visit was a few days before Memorial Day so maybe that is why there were no fees, amenities, There was a life guard on duty. The beach is not very large and there are sand spiders on the... More

I found Lake Norman by accident during business travel. My plane had to do a "go around" while landing in Charlotte. When I saw the lake I had to "google" it. After 4 years of visiting at different times of the year, we decided to move here. Great restaurants, people, 35 mins to either the airport or downtown... not to... More
