We have been boating on Lake Norman for years. It is the largest lake in NC. It can be very crowded during the summer, but great to take a boat ride on during the spring, fall and winter.

Great place to spend the day with your dogs and family! Just be prepared to go on a long, yet relaxing walk for hours!! Great place to bike as well.

This area was much more than I expected. During the torrential rainfalls of October 2015 I visited the area. The scenery is relaxing & inspiring. Plenty to see & do. I recommend this short tour off the highway.

Had an aunt that lived on the lake. A lot of memories happen when family got together. Swimming and boating were the best.

We've lived near to Lake Norman in Huntersville for a little over a year. It's a stunning setting to relax and enjoy nature. The weather is wonderful here and walking the safe, clean and very scenic nature trails in Jetton Park surrounded by woods along the lake is one of our favorite past times. Great spot for picnic lunches! We... More

We were out on my In-Law's boat this past summer and there were so many other boats you felt like how could you catch any fish with so many people.

Whether you are walking the area around Jetton, or maybe hitting the trails in the State Park in the Troutman area, or perhaps out on the water boating or kayaking, it offers a variety of options, good views, relaxing and fun.

We typically like to do the lake trail which can be a fairly long hike. But the trail offers a couple of crossovers that are ways to cut the hike shorter. So you can do a 5 mile hike, a 3 mile hike or shorter. Plus plenty of picnic areas.

We took a boat ride from Queens Landing. It was a nice relaxing afternoon on the water, which included lunch and information about the lake and its residence.
