We often stay with friends in Cornelius at Jetton, we often go for walks and runs, it is a safe place, and you can see turtles if you are lucky. On our visit this time our friends rented a pontoon boat, it was early in the season and therefore very quiet on the lake. It was not warm enough to... More

Me and my husband took long ones alone everyday and small walks every morning with the grandbabies. We will continue to make this a stop every time we come down. Its like the Sleep Inn Northlake. Love it.

Lake Norman is a beauty. Tucked away beyond the city, it's an oasis of peace and quiet. Take a sandwich, watch the ducks, walk around the paths. Runners may feel limited in the length of open paths to run on, but still well worth the visit.

Enjoyed our visit to Lake Norman State Park (aka Duke Power State Park) on a warm, quiet weekday. Chatted with the fisherman about the lake and its history; walked along the Lakeshore Trail and drove through other parts of the park. The beach was not open, but was being spruced up for summer. Lovely, peaceful place

I like going here because it's has a great overlook. Slso, there's McDowell Park near there and you can row boat, paddle boat or just enjoy the view of the water, cookout in thepark, nice photographic areas, beautiful trees. So much to enjoy, relax or be romantic.

I love this area. There are quality resturants nearby including Matt's Chicago Dogs which is my favorite when it comes to Hot dogs plus The lake is beautiful and the nearby park (Jetton Park) is magnificient.

This lake is so large there is almost always something going on somewhere on the lake. The fishing is good, and there are quiet areas for those learning to paddle board or kayak to enjoy and not feel like they are in the way of the boats.

Visiting my daughter at Davidson College we enjoyed and relax sailing on this amazing lake.. We took a small cruise where we got information about the lake and the surroundings and got spectacular pictures. Love it.

First of all I am not a promoter or seeking financial gain by glamorizing the "Lake". Moreover, I could live in many places and I am pleased and proud that Lake Norman is my home for many reasons. With approximately 600 miles of shoreline bordering 4 different counties it offers an array of fun things to do for residents and... More
