Recent trip with a group of 47 for our Girl Scout troop (ages 6 to 13) was a great day outing. We took the train in from Durham, NC and then took the bus from the Amtrak station to the Discovery. The museum is very hands on and has a lot of things to do and to see. There are... More

After having pretty decent experience at Discovery Kids, we decided to try out Discovery Place. My 7-year old was too excited and bounced every where and could not contain himself in one station for too long but we spent good 2 hours any way. The facility is no doubt very good educational playground. We did enjoy a short 20-minute 'Subzero'... More

Discovery Place was an educational place as well combining fun with learning. I have pre teen boys and they were interested in most everything there with the exception of the first room downstairs. This room would be more fun for 9 and under. There were several areas that even interested me as an adult.

I'm writing to let Discovery Place know what an awful job your business is doing!!!! I will be telling ALL of Fort Bragg Army soldiers never to go there. Here are my issues: 1.) You offer military discount for the museum BUT if I want IMAX and museum I get NOTHING OFF! Way to support the troops. 2.) After purchasing... More

My daughter and I took my granddaughter to the Discovery Place in Huntersville, but the 2 are virtually the same. There are so many activities for children here. And most allow the kids to safely explore whatever they want. My Ellie especially loved "working" on the Nascar in the garage area, grocery shopping, and" performing" onstage! If you have children... We muchly enjoyed the hands-on activities and aquarium section. For $5 more, the entry package got us into an amazing IMAX. We spent 3 hours and only left because we were getting hungry! Note: The Parking Garage is pretty highly priced.
