Discovery Place is indeed a great place to go to learn about science and etc. But the problem is that sometimes there are these Daycare dumps which causes it to be very crowded and the parking decks to be full, we had to park in some gravel lot a bit away from the building. The exhibits are cool and it... More

This is really a great place for kids to learn about all types of science-related topics. There's something for all age groups of kids. I think older teenagers would be bored, however. The exhibits change frequently.

My fiancé and I took my 4 year old daughter there. There was only one room for her age but it was pretty awesome. It had a late water table, giant light bright and other fun activities. The rest of the museum is geared toward upper elementary age and older kids. There was a lot to explore and do but... More

Why does anyone like this place? After waiting in line for 20 minutes (even though we were 3rd in line), we ere so excited to go to this museum. Please, people, save your money. The two staff members we encountered in the exhibits we're nice but there was almost no one helping people or explaining anything. The entire place was... More

Took our two year old to Discovery Place as a change from Discovery Place Kids where we have had good experiences. More than thirty minutes in ticket line to get in the door. The staff is busy trying to sell memberships as a ticket upgrade. Apparently to purchase the membership then requires a lot of paperwork. We stood forever watching... More

I love Discovery Place. I remember going there as a child and it is still impressive as an adult. I brought my 2 year old there recently and I will say it is not really designed for small children. I would say it is best for kids aged 5-10. There was some stuff for him to do there of course... More

We visited Discovery Place while on vacation and it was a wonderful experience! We've been to many museums with our kids and this is one of the best we've been to as far as being "hands on" for kids. They had many unique things that we hadn't seen before. We spent several hours here and my kids had a blast.... More

Went here with my 11-year old grandson who enjoys science. We spent about about 5 hours here (on the second floor) which included about an hour for lunch in the cafe. We saw the demonstrations that were presented by staff and let our grandson explore the exhibits while we either sat on the benches or walked around looking at some... More

My son and I had a day of museum hopping. We went to Discovery Place to learn and have a little fun at the same time. That is exactly what we did. He is 14 and had a blast. Many different hands on exhibits for kids of all ages. Two of his favorites were the bed of nails and Gyroscope... More
