This place is great for people of all ages! In addition to the hands-on exhibits and other various things to see that they have regularly, Discovery Place also has cool limited time attractions. Definitely check to see what exhibit they will have during the time you are going. Although many exhibits are geared towards a younger crowd, anyone can find... More

Really enjoyed the Discovery Place. Wish we would have had more time to explore. One thing that would have made the Discovery Place 100% better is more explanations regarding the exhibits. The staff was excellent and they were very knowledgeable but they were not stationed at every exhibit.

Took my two nieces for an afternoon of fun with science and learning mixed in. This is a good half to 3/4 day out if you take your time. Be sure to explore all the exhibits Discovery place has to offer. My 10 and 7 year old nieces were on the constant go and they had an absolute ball. be... More

We took the grand daughter here and enjoyed the great variety of things to do. 3D short movie, aquarium area, rainforest area, and a bunch of different play areas that are fun and educational.

Discovery place is always changing! I have lived in Charlotte since 1996 and this place has changed almost yearly. It keeps the science alive and is fun for both adults and children. Very family oriented and the IMAX Is great as well. There could be a few more exhibits but considering Charlotte is still growing I wouldn't hold that against... More

This is a great place for kids of all ages. On the bottom floor there is a big play/explore area for the 7-8 and under crowd, complete with water tables and plenty of thing to keep them entertained for a while. On that same floor there is a small aquarium area with touch tanks, explorations areas, and jellyfish. On the... More

My daughter and my two grandchildren visited Discovery Place yesterday. We were really pleased with the entire experience. My grandchildren are aged 4 and 6 and there was lots for both of them to do throughout the Science Museum. We arrived around 11 a.m. and didn't leave until nearly 4 p.m. The facility was well thought out and seems very... More

My kids (4 and 7 years) had a wonderful visit and could have spent all day in any of the rooms. It is a great place for kids all the way up to 6th grade, I would guess. Lots of science presented in fun, interactive ways. If we lived within an hour of this place (instead of 6 hours), we... More
