Good place to spend an afternoon

Good for families with school age children. Some of the exhibits periodically change so you can visit again every few years for something new.

I went with my cousin's daughter who was 11 or 12. She loved it! There were really interesting activities for kids of all ages to engage with. I thought the aquarium was a little small, and could have had more interactive activities. On the whole, so worth a visit!

Discovery Place is a nice museum with many fun activities - the problem though with most kids museums is that there are too many kids! This place was totally mobbed on Saturday afternoon - lots of church/school groups with unsupervised kids. I teach my kids to be patient, wait your turn, etc., but other people don't have the courtesy to... More

I went as a 20 something by myself and thoroughly enjoyed my time at Discovery Place. It's the basic lessons you learn as a child like about how motion, heat, natural phenomena, etc. works, but through really fun interactive ways. The air propelling chair is the best! Great time for kids and adults.

My boyfriend and I came here and it was fun. We're 21 and 22. It was mostly kids with their parents there, but we did see a few other couples like us. If you're an adult and want to go here, then go. Don't feel weird and think you're too old. There's lots of cool interesting stuff to do and... More

Very airy and not claustrophobic as other childrens' museums might feel. Our membership at the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia got us free admission!!

This museum was very hands on and full of great information. We built a fort, played with blocks, laid on a bed of nails, examined items in a microscope, saw magic with dry ice, and so much more. Fun for adults and kids.

Went with a group of twenty somethings and we had a great time. Way bigger than I thought. Very hands on and they have IMAX movies as well for only $5 more.

I brought my grandchildren, ages 5 and 7, to the Discovery Museum last week and we had the best time. There was so much to do and see. We were able to stop and play at almost every display. We saw one of the mini 3D movies, "Fly Me to the Moon" at the IMAX theater, it was fabulous! I... More
