this is a great place for families with kids of all ages! There are activities for small toddlers all the way up to about 14 or 15. Even adults can have fun here. We spent several hours and still only saw part of the museum. Great hands-on activities for the family.

I have been going here since I was a kid and they are always changing some small details to keep the museum entertaining. They are also always having special events to keep everything fresh.

My boyfriend and I where trying to choose something quickly before our flight back home and saw Discovery Place. I was glad that they had a garage place to park near them and they charge about $8. It is 3 floors of excitement. We were on the 3rd floor and had to go to the 1st floor. They have an... More

Although I don' t understand why they charge more for Adults entrance than for kids, the place is very attractive for kids . My grandchildren loved the place . They could play and learn. I will take them back again.

Loved this museum. Practically section/display/area is hands-on or has some sort of interactive element. It keeps everyone engaged. My kids could have easily spent 4 more hours there. Our favorite was the upstairs section where you learn about science and physics principles and can experiment through play. Overall, the facility is clean and well-maintained. We were there during the mechanical... More

Took my 8 and 9 year old boys. It was a little boring for them. I think this place is better suited for younger children. The science show they enjoyed and the IMAX movie was awesome! It's dome shaped, you feel like you are a part of the movie and the movie was interesting and educational at the same time.... More

Took our two boys ages 8 & 10. The 3-D dinosaur video was aged for a bit younger. Boys enjoyed the hands on microscope activities, rain forest are (although not a lot of animals to be seen) and aquarium on the first floor. There was also a staff member walking around with a snake, so the boys enjoyed petting the... More

I have been to several places similar to this throughout the country and this one was average. They have a connected parking for $8. The staff was friendly. I would say this place is geared to 8 and up. They did have some fun things for the kids to do, just not a lot. It is a 2 hour tops... More

Went with my two nephews over Christmas and had a terrific time. While it is certainly a busy place, there is enough room for kids of all ages to run around and experience all of the exhibits without too much waiting. I would suggest that DP Charlotte is geared towards kids from about 3 to perhaps 10 or 11...any younger... More
