This place is lodged in the heart of myers park, on one of its most peaceful streets. Employees are overly kind, the site itself is beautiful. I don't know much about birds, but there is a reason why they are happy there! More

A very special place and worth seeking out. Located on a suburban street this wonderful nearly hidden garden is a find for bird lovers. More

This place reminds me of the Secret Garden but maybe smaller then what I have dreamed up in my mind about the novel. This is a small garden but is defiantly worth your time. It is a great place to just sit and read or come here to take pictures. Believe it or not but this is the first place... More

Although a bit difficult to locate unless you are intimately familiar with Charlotte, once there, Wing Haven Garden and Bird Sanctuary is a wondereful testimony to what can be accomplished with a relatively small piece of land. Many years ago I was fortunate to meet the Clarksons, the orginal owners and developers of the property. The gardens are beautiful and... More

We found this place on Yahoo Travel. It's located in a neighborhood so it's easy to miss. We were greeted by an elderly lady who gave us a brochure and some history. She was so pleasant that you just have to oblige and 'donate' the recommended amount at the end of her spiel. We watched a short 10-15min video about... More

Wing Haven is a nice place in Charlotte to spend a few hours walking the gardens and spotting birds. There is a little building to go into and watch a short movie on the history of the family and the gardens. I recommend going there and enjoying the simply relaxing stroll through the garden as it will be a highlight... More

Wing Haven was a pleasant suprise found by accident while in Charlotte last summer. We enjoyed walking through the gardens and have plans to build my own smaller version of Wing Haven on my property.Stan Snyder More
