We accompanied our daughter, son-in-law and three I/2 year old granddaughter to a special Sesame Street planetarium show and found the display cases very interesting, the show child-friendly and the gift shop well-stocked with science themed items. A very enjoyable visit!

We got a very nice presentation there last year when we visited the UNC campus. Very comfortable, very interesting. If they do public shows I would recommend it!

We walked through the upper and lower level of the planetarium which are free. It was an interesting hour. We did not stay for the show which you do have to pay for, but I heard it was great.

We had a great time there watching puppeteers projected onto the global milky way of stars. The music was wonderful and the story fun. We took our eight year old granddaughter who enjoyed it all!

This was a great family experience to learn about navigating the solar system over the Carolina Sky. I enjoyed this show because there was interaction between host and audience.

Great old building. Lots of interesting displays. The planetarium is very cool and they do a great job with the programs. Interesting fact that the Apollo Astronauts trained here in the 60s. You'll be glad you went.

Wonderful educational experience. Shop has great science toys/projects for children. Parking can be difficult so arrive early for your show in case the lot is full. Suggest making reservations during school year since students on field trips might fill the seats. Before or after the show, tour the UNC campus. Morehead Planetarium is part of UNC, and is in downtown... More

The Morehead Planetarium is the oldest University planetarium in the US, but has shows that keep up with the times.
