We didn't know anything about Southern Seasons-- old or new --until last year when a friend in Chapel Hill suggested coming to town and going to a week night cooking class. No preconceived notions. Ok, we looked on the web and most classes in the next 45 days were already booked. So my wife and I picked a Jan 2015... More

On 12/19/14 I tried ordering gifts on line but after a long trip through cyber space my order was refused for no reason. I tried again. Same thing. I called the # of the Chapel Hill store and told them what the problem was and asked them to check to see if either order had been accepted. They assured me... More

I don't mean to rant or anything, but.... have reviewed A Southern Season before but the store has since been sold and they have begun to open their stores in other cities. I visited the Chapel Hill location over the 2014 Christmas holiday and therefore I will update my review. We have been shopping at A Southern Season for over... More

It's a pretty store with lots of fun things. It's also ridiculously overpriced and lacking customer service. I don't like to feel as though a store is doing me a favor by letting me spend three times what I need to for an item. I see these same products elsewhere at a much more reasonable price. Maybe walk through to... More

We stopped in to Southern Season on the second weekend in December and it was absolutely packed with people as was to be expected at this time of year. We hadn't been since last year and we noted there had been some design changes to the layout, which seemed to help with the flow. The selection and quality of the... More

We are LONG TIME customers of the OLD Southern Seasons. The one that was owned by an individual who cared about the customer - not just the dollar. My husband once talked with the original owner, telling him that if he took his store to Charlotte, he'd have to take his money to the bank in a Brinks truck. His... More

So you think you know about sauces? One trip here will have you scratching your head with wonder. Not only is this one of the largest stores in the area when it comes to unique culinary items, but if they don't have it, I doubt it exists. This large warehouse is laid out with fresh food along its southern side,... More

I love to visit Southern Season. I don't go often as it is a little bit of a drive but when I go I stay for a couple of hours. Lots of great and unique choices. Warning: it is pricey -- but worth it.

Where to even begin? We stumbled upon this gem on an adventure day, just out and about taking in the sites as we found them. How have we not been here before?! Southern Season is our new favorite store. Wine! Cheese! Rare Meats! Oh my! Seriously, if you're a foodie like us, you will be in heaven when you see... More
