Southern Season has so much fine quality food and housewares, it's a pleasure just to browse. I often stop in when I need a specific item, or a relaxing lunch. Have not taken any of the cooking classes, but I hear they are great. University Mall is one of the most unique malls I've been to. Most of the stores... More

This store is a "specialty shop" superstore. Gifts and uniques for every occasion. We love the coffee selection... but they have SO many departments: foods, spices, nuts, chocolate, candy, teas, kitchen / cooking, even a bakery / snack bar, etc. Just a lot of fun. Prepare to enjoy yourself.

As a tourist, be prepared to have an agenda if you want something specific. Lot's of lovely food to eat immediately, and this area of the store is helpful and generally is interested in your needs. Then a plethora of gifts and cooking ware and wines, and didn't find the alcohol section reps on edge to be helpful.....not sure they... More

Love going here to pick up random unusual cheeses, snacks, kitchen gadgets, etc. We also love to do take out from here. Lots of delicious choices.

Who has an entire aisle of cheese straws? Who has scuppernong wine? Southern Season does. Plus the biggest selection of candy, condiments, teas, etc for miles and miles.

A fantastic store packed to the gills with anything culinary that your heart desires. So enjoyed seeing all the choices and taking home a number of items (salumi, kale salad, wonderful cheese!) that we wouldn't have found elsewhere.

A Southern Season is a gourmet food and cooking store. . .with so much more! A great place to find unusual gifts and North Carolina products--ceramics, Moravian treats, chocolates, Benne wafers. Specialty teas and coffees and a wide range of items are available at the Deli for tailgating, picnicking, or enjoying at home. Weathervane is the attached restaurant and bar.... More

My niece suggested we stop here during our visit. She said it's a williams sonoma on steroids, and it was every bit of that and more. If you are into gourmet food and cooking, then this is a must see. We went in there with nothing in particular in mind, but walked out with two bags full of gifts and... More

Having relocated from the Triangle in 2010, it was great to get back and shop at A Southern Season. True, it is a bit trendy and expensive, but the quality is superb. All the European style deli & cheeses made my mouth water. And Coffee selection awesome as well. If you have the time, stay awhile and enjoy dining at... More
