We enjoyed the tasting. The setting is pretty close to the road, and the tasting bar as well as the tables can get crowded. The staff sometimes gets tied up and your tasting can get stalled, so allow extra time on a Saturday afternoon.

Chatham Hill Winery is one of North Carolina's oldest wineries, which is to say that it is about 17 years old. Considering NC was the largest producer of wine in the nation prior to Prohibition, this is actually very sad as the combination of Prohibition, the Great Depression and World War II effectively killed NC's wine industry. Bible thumping legislators... More

Unfortunately, this was not the experience I had hoped it would be for my first time in. I saw the varietals that they were making wine out of and thought it would be great. Unfortunately, many of the wines had off-tastes to them, or tasted overly sour, unlike what the varietal should have tasted like. For a $10 tasting, I'm... More

Stopped in for a tasting, 10 dollar fee and you get a glass. Eight tastings for this fee and the pourer chooses your tastings. Some of their wines were good others so so. Atmosphere was great and others visiting and tasting were very friendly. Glad I went.

Great wine tasting of sweet and dry wines they manifest.. Friday nites they have music to sip by. Don't miss this wine experience and take home a dozen bottles for a discount. If you LOVE a sweet wine, this is the place. Great tour of winery being made.

We had a nice time tasting wine, we brought our own food, played cards and listened to the live band.

Best thing about the tasting was the woman who poured. She was nice, laid back but informative, and amusing. Wines were ok - not superb. Got the dry tasting and tried two of the sweet wines which were actually better than the dry. Attractive place. Wine tastings are always good, even if the wines aren't. You can probably find one... Can't remember when I had a worse glass of Chardonnay. Tasted like water with some kind of flavoring. Spend your money on another brand.

We stopped here on a drive to the NC coast. What a nice surprise! The blackberry Cabernet is exceptional. They also have a wine bar and live music playing! This was a very nice place. Dry and sweet wines were abailable
