This was a clean, pleasant, and relaxing beach. There were a lot of people but we never felt cramped and had no trouble finding a good place to enjoy ourselves. Unless you know the area, the showers and bathrooms can be difficult to find since they're in a residential area a block away from the beach and I didn't see... More

One of the big features of this park - is it preserves the habitat of carnivorous plants (venus fly traps, pitcher plants, etc). I asked which trail was best for viewing them in their habitat and was told to go to the "Fly Trap Trail". Great. Except the fly trap trail was the subject of controlled burning (done regularly to... My sister, mother, and I took my son and nephew on a weekend camping trip. We had a great time. The grounds were well kept. The bathroom and showers were very clean. The site was close to everything. Bring bug spray, though. The mosquitoes were alive and well fed!

We did the mile long hike to the 50 foot sand dune. My 2 year old even walked it. Lots of fiddler crabs on the path. Awesome thing to do when your tired of the beach..beautiful ecosystem.

This beautiful State park should not be confused with Carolina Beach or other attractions as some previous reviewers have done. The park has a visitor center, camping, hiking trails and a marina. We hiked the Sugarloaf trail on our most recent visit. It is a fairly easy trail even on a very hot day, but bring water. You meander through... More

So beautiful! It's not as built up as Myrtle Beach, but has plenty of restaurants nearby. We didn't need parking, but there are plenty of places to park.

I thought it was a beautiful place to visit. We saw people fishing there. There was also a boat dock. What we found interesting was a sand bar which made for awesome photos as the sun was setting.

The beach is great and family friendly. The beach is clean and close to many restaurants. There is ample parking. Also, the boardwalk is fun for all. Has arcade and a few carnival rides.
