We visited the park with our 12 year old son who wanted to fish. Someone suggested the park for fishing. The park is not on the ocean , it is on the Cape Fear river. So we found a dock on the river and he caught a few fish. So it provided a little different fishing experience for him. We... More

This State Park is on the ICW and has a wonderful marina. For RVers it is just so-so. There are two loops with a bathhouse in the center of each loop. Dry camping with no electric, wi-fi or cable. Water spigots are scattered around the loops

This was exactly what I needed. Incredible view and truly miraculous to watch. The beaches and parks, riding and bike trails were fantastic.

We have been to this park a few times in the past 2 years and both times had been an enjoyable ride and break from hustle of beach. There are several trails for hiking but no bikes are allowed on trails and the last time we went were very muddy due to enormous amount of rain fall the prior days... More

The waves crashing in, the sand in the toes, sunshine warming the skin . . . it's a great place to kick back and relax and there's so much beach that you're not tripping over other people on a normal day.

Great little park south of Wilmington, NC. It protects 761 acres of coastal habitat. Great trail system and a great campground. Campground has shower facilities but no power at campsites. It is geared more toward tent camping than RV.

We took our dog for a walk in the park. Felt safe as families were enjoying the park. There was good parking and plenty of parking. There are many places along Carolina Beach to enjoy.

We only did some walking trails and it was wonderful. There are a few different size trails so you can do a few and see beautiful nature.

This was a great campground for primitive camping. The sites are all very well maintained with picnic tables, tent pads, crushed gravel drives/pull-ins. I felt like I had some privacy from my neighbors with the layout of the campsite even though they were not far away. The bath house was very clean and well maintained with hot water! I felt... More
