If you are looking for a good place to go for a trail run in/around Wilmington, then CBSP is one of the few spots available to hit the dirt. Trails are very well marked and the terrain ranges from single track rooted sections to wider sections littered with pine needles. Lots of sand in spots and a few good short... More

To be honest, we just drove through but I was very impressed. It is very clean and the campsites are huge and shaded. Plenty of privacy! All of the facilities appeared to be very clean and fairly new! Nice flat roads for bicycles or walking. Very Nice Marina with a provision store. It is very close to everything, beach, grocery... mostly flat with wider trails so you don't have to spend your time looking down all the time. Sunset at the park is B-U-T-ful. Shoreline is fun to walk and lay around on and then move inland for a completely different feel.

This is a wonderful, family friendly park. It has plenty of campsites for tents or small RV. There are walking trails and a marina with gas station / supply shop.

In the morning:-)I love Carolina beach. Nice and quiet yet many activities and attractions to go to.just enough people to feel like you not alone but very much laid back. We use to go a lot when I was a kid and now I take my son and the memories are everlasting

The area is very pleasant with plenty of trails and camping area. The marina with boat ramp in very convenient to the Cape Fear River and the Intercostal. The staff is friendly and can be very helpful in answering questions to make you visit first class

I visited the Carolina Beach State Park in the late afternoon time frame on a fall Saturday with the intent to hike several of the trails. The park is easy to find from downtown Carolina Beach or Kure Beach and offers you the ability to hike, camp and fish. When I first arrived I had planned on stopping at the... More
