Staff was great. Called 2 days prior to booking tee time. Asked if they could match Golfnow.com price and they did! Very nice and didn't get attitude about asking for discounted rate! Course was in excellent shape from tee to green. Fast and smooth greens. We played in a foursome and had several 2 somes behind so we let them... More

My brother in law and I play Farmstead every summer during our family trip to the area. As always, the course was in very good shape. Check in was easy and friendly enough. The greens were firm and fast but true. Fairways are wide and cut short and also firm. There is plenty of room to hit the ball, but... More

We played this course while visiting the Myrtle Beach area in May. It's a unique course as it crisscrosses the S.C & N.C. state lines. The 18th hole is a par 6....767 yards from the tips...we played from the white tees (6097 total yards) and felt comfortable as we are mid handicappers. There are several holes with water but the... Farmstead is an interesting layout. There is nothing significant regarding the quality of golf in the fact that it meanders back and forth between North Carolina and South Caroline several times during the course of the round. The course is well conditioned and a challenging layout. Like most courses in the Myrtle Beach area, it is tight enough to force... More

What a beautiful course - from the clubhouse to the greens. This is a definite regular to put on the list of courses to visit.

I've played here twice now and believe it's one of the more underated courses in the Myrtle area. Doesn't have a lot of holes I would call spectacular, but it could have some of the best greens around. Well contoured, fast and true. Staff is very friendly and we tooled around in 4 hrs. and 10 minutes.

In over 4o years of golfing, I have never seen a course in as poor a shape as Farmstead. Most of the course was under 2 inches of water. The greens had been seeded with some grass seed mixed with cardboard, and then rolled flat, so that if dry, they were fast as glass, and if the least bit wet,... More

Terrific course. greens were fast but true; fairways wide; bad shots penalized but you could recover; pace of play right on 2:10 per nine holes. We played 27 holes and wanted to do another nine!

We got a good price to go out and try this course. It was in reasonable shape, but it definitely was a more middle of the road course for the area. The monstrously long 18th hole is an interesting par 6.

Our group of 16 played this course on the last day of our trip. we had come off of 3 days of disappointment from Sea Trail. it cost us an extra $7.30 to play here. They staff earned that at the bag drop alone! Awesome service oriented staff. The course was in excellent condition even though there had been a... More
