My wife and I have been playing Carolina Shores every time we go to the beach and in the last year the course is a little better each time. We are looking forward to playing our next time at the beach.

This course is bad - the greens were brown and had bare spots - rough was not mowed or even maintained - cart paths were broken up and covered with debris. I played here with a "free golf" deal from the Winds Resort - cart fees were $25/person - making our free round $100 / foursome - I feel like... More

Used to be a real gem back in the day but ownership by one individual, who has recently been replaced, has let course really slip below par for this area. Promises have been made that it will get back to shades of yesteryear but I've heard that before. Only time will tell is there is still life left @ Carolina... More

We played March 14, 2014. Little or no grass on fairways or greens. No ranger in sight. We waited on every shot for a very slow threesome in front of us. Not worth the drive from Myrtle Beach (or anywhere else for that matter). Carts in such poor shape they use bungee cords to hold bags on in case cart... More

We played Carolina Shores Golf Club yesterday. The staff was friendly and the golf course was fun to play. It was in good shape considering all the rain here lately. Their price was very reasonable too compared to others in the area. We like to play this course every time we come to town.

We played Carolina Shores 3 times while at Holden Beach. Great course, not busy, and everyone was very polite and very courteous to us. Enjoyed our rounds!

Carolina shores gc is an older course in the area that has survived a couple of bankruptcies. They have been making improvements throughout the course. they are in the process of removing many trees after having removed many sand traps, but don't fear there are still plenty of sand traps lurking. Nice wide fairways. Friendly staff and great deals can... More

My friend, Vince, saw an ad in the Sun News for this course in "Fore". The paper was dated Dec. 17th. On Dec. 22nd we drove about thirty miles to give this course a try. Arriving at the desk there was no one behind the desk. We waited three or four minutes and then I wandered down a hall to... More

nice folks working there but apparently they're out of money due to lack of play. Nice layout, but it was in poor shape. The greens were green but slow. The tee markers hadn't been moved in over a week which was evidenced by stripes of dead grass and bare spots on the tees. Several traps had grass in them and... More
