I rode the Polar Express this year with my neice, newphew and my 12 week old son and some adults. This year i put us on 1st class instead of standard like last year. Let me tell you, the 1st class was definitely worth it. Instead of feeling like i'm back in high school on a school bus, they have... more
We had an awesome time! It was pouring down rain but we didn't let that get our spirits down. The kids were excited and so were we! We had a group of 10 (7 adults and 3 kids)...a family Christmas get together. The ride was complete with songs from the movie, the story read aloud, hot chocolate, a marshmallow chocolate... more

We went 10-10-08 for the Great Pumpkin Patch. I took my wife and 3 boys 13, 11 and 7. I paid $200 for a 30 minute train ride to a small field that had a small assortment of things for younger children. There was a petting zoo(goats and sheep), a hayride, apple bobing(made sanitary), trick or treat house, Peanuts characters,... more
I paid over 500.00 for my family to take the 4.5 hour excursion. Yes, I upgraded to the "Crown Coach" and pre-paid for box lunches. I have been on this excursion before, but had some new family members with me this time that had never been on it. The best part of the trip is the stop over at Nantahala... more
From the "reception" where they only had one type of white wine available (no red at all), then you waited 45 minutes to board the train, to the windows on one side of the train that were so old that it was impossible to see out them, to the poor dilapidated scenery, can't say much for the ride. The food,... more
