First time gem mining. A good activity to do on a rainy day. We found some rubies. My husband really enjoyed it and the staffer appeared to be knowledgeable. All in all, we are glad we experience this activity.

We decided to get the two-fer Super buckets. One Ruby and one Emerald bucket and sat down at the flume to sift for our treasures. We ended up getting a few large Amethysts, a large cuttable Ruby and Emerald and several smaller ones too! We also got a farmer, moonstone and a few crystals. While I'm sure the owners seed... More

It was a bit expensive and not a real mining experience. The kids actually loved it, even if the adults thought it was silly.

My son is a gem enthusiast so we frequently seek out gem minimg opportunities during our travels. This is a small gem spot. We purchased a $40 bucket and proceeded to pan for the hidden treasures. My son found many colorful gems both small and large. When he was finished the owner went over each gem to help him validate... More

Could be better...better pricing for what you got and better customer service. Felt like they really didn't care if we stayed to mine or not.

We took our 3 children (ages 7, 11, 13) and all had a blast. We found a wide variety of gems including emeralds, rubies, etc in a family bucket but the real joy was finding 2 Indian artifacts. My kids want to go back and so do we. Absolutely worth it! The owners were super about explaining all we had... More

I was not expecting to have as much fun as I did with this. Spent hours sifting through 5 gallon buckets of dirt and got a very nice number of gems, and quite a few were cut-able quality. The owner was very nice and I will definitely go back again. This place is a little more secluded, so less people... More

We enjoyed our layover on the railroad to enjoy the beauty of this area. Had a few minutes to look at the shops and have a beer and bbq. Very pretty.

My grandson and I had a wonderful time. We spent about an hour and a half working through a bucket of dirt. He is ten years old and I wasn't sure he would like it but we both enjoyed it tremendously. The kindness and time spent by the wonderfully gracious woman there made it all the more enjoyable. Will go... More
