It was a bit expensive and not a real mining experience. The kids actually loved it, even if the adults thought it was silly.

My son is a gem enthusiast so we frequently seek out gem minimg opportunities during our travels. This is a small gem spot. We purchased a $40 bucket and proceeded to pan for the hidden treasures. My son found many colorful gems both small and large. When he was finished the owner went over each gem to help him validate... More

Could be better...better pricing for what you got and better customer service. Felt like they really didn't care if we stayed to mine or not.

We took our 3 children (ages 7, 11, 13) and all had a blast. We found a wide variety of gems including emeralds, rubies, etc in a family bucket but the real joy was finding 2 Indian artifacts. My kids want to go back and so do we. Absolutely worth it! The owners were super about explaining all we had... More

I was not expecting to have as much fun as I did with this. Spent hours sifting through 5 gallon buckets of dirt and got a very nice number of gems, and quite a few were cut-able quality. The owner was very nice and I will definitely go back again. This place is a little more secluded, so less people... More

We enjoyed our layover on the railroad to enjoy the beauty of this area. Had a few minutes to look at the shops and have a beer and bbq. Very pretty.

We took 4 kids to do this, we got several buckets and found some very neat things. Everyone had a fun time. I would definatly go back.

My grandson and I had a wonderful time. We spent about an hour and a half working through a bucket of dirt. He is ten years old and I wasn't sure he would like it but we both enjoyed it tremendously. The kindness and time spent by the wonderfully gracious woman there made it all the more enjoyable. Will go... More

We decided to take our 2 kids and niece here and see what happens. We were not sure they would enjoy it as they are 12, 13, and 14 years old; and you know how teens can be when it comes to activities. Well, I was amazed that they absolutely were engrossed and LOVED IT! We bought 3 family buckets.... More

My grandson has found countless stones here. He has quite a collection after two trips over the past year. The folks that run this place are especially kind to children. They take the time to go through each and every stone and explain their finds to them. Excellent place!
