No complaints about the operation, but be wary and check water levels if you plan going to the New River. We spent the majority of our time walking/and pulling the kayak!

Watch these people. They do not supervise or teach their employees to be honest. It is all about the money not the experience. Go with someone else. Try River Girl or Edge of the World. Or someone else

We had a group of 11 make the trip down the Nolichucky last week. Temps were in low 50s, so we all wore wetsuits to make the cold river more tolerable. Wiik, Patrick and Thomas were all awesome guides. Wiik was the guide my group had and he was the daredevil of the group. Seems we always took different lines... More

My friend and I booked a trip down the Watauga river with wahoo's 2 years ago. Had no problems at all with wahoo's. I wasn't expecting much going down this section of the Watauga because it's really not a whitewater section but it was fun and relaxing. If you want more whitewater book a trip on the Nolichucky, if you... More

While staying in Boone, NC we wanted to experience tubing down a NC river. The people at Wahoo's were very friendly and helpful. We paid at their main store then drove down various mountain roads to their location by the river. Since I don't have much mountain driving experience at first I was concerned about driving backwoods roads but was... More

We had a great time canoeing down the New River. We called at the last minute to book the ride and even showed up late because we got lost and they were still so accommodating. Jeff was our guide and he was great. Gave us some facts about the New River and helped us in any way he could, even... More

My sister, mom and stepmom kayaked down the new river this past weekend and it was very nice. Jeff our guide, called us by name, and helped us into and out of the kayaks and under the bridge. He made us feel comfortable and provided us interesting information about the area. Will definately do again.
