My husband, six boys and I bought the unlimited tubing adventure on the New River. The facilities are nice and right on the river. It took about 1 and 1/2 hours to make it down the river. There are nice picnic shelters where we grilled and ate lunch before going a second time. You can rent a tube for your... More

Very fun for the family. Just make sure you pick what you want to do. Lots of selections and lots of different locations. We did family rafting on the Watauga. Nice and slow for begginers but to slow for experienced and daredevils

My husband and I stopped by the Boone office and was welcomed by the owner himself Jeff. He was very nice and explained exactly what to expect and gave us directions. We arrived early and filled out our paperwork and they offered us directions to places to eat and encouraged us to go see the Blue Hole. So we did... More

The trip was well managed and fun. They quoted us $15 per tube but then had a transportation fee and asked for tips. Otherwise well run and a great time.

We went to Wahoo's with a group of 15 and it was sooo much fun. Our tour guide's name was Kelby (I hope that's how you spell it) he made us feel really safe while having a great time. His jokes were entertaining and enthusiastic even though he probably has to tell them 29,736 times a day. I'd recommend Wahoo's... More

A group of 7 of us just returned after rafting the Nolichucky with this outfitter and would do it again. We were staying at a house on lake watagua and after about 45minute drive we arrived at the Erwin post. Check in was simple, left our keys at the office, boarded the bus and got to the put-in after a... More

Our family of four had a great time tubing down the New River. The staff at Wahoo were friendly and accommodating for a last minute booking. Getting to their facility on the river from Boone was a simple 10 minute drive. At their building on the river, they have nice changing facilities, a small store with last minute food and... More

We visit Boone, NC 2-3 times a year for the last 8 yrs. Had scheduled day of tubing with Wahoo. That morning, all weather forecasts called for thunderstorms. Called to cancel reservation as we did not want our family sitting on a river with lightning forecasted. The person who answered started arguing and talking over me, trying to convince me... More

We had a terrible time on the Watauga River trip. The map had very little information and when we called to ask for help- the response was "plug it on to your GPS". We ended up being late and being told to get in a full raft with 3 paddles. One of the guides- Kelsey was rude to our group... More
