My wife and I have rafted the Nolichucky with Wahoos on two occasions and had lots of fun doing so. The guides, food and facilities were first rate and we found Jeff Stanley to be polite and accommodating. We live in the vicinity of Boone and are aware of a local competitor who does a great deal to sabotage Wahoos... more

We did the Wahoo's Nolichucky funyaking trip over Labor Day weekend which leaves from their base in Erwin, TN. Here's the score: The good--The bathrooms and changing rooms at the base were sufficient in number and clean. The guys leading the tour were lots of fun. The bus which took us the 10 min to and from the river was... more

After talking with Jeff Stanley, 4 of us booked a half day trip down the Watauga River. We arrived at the appointed time of 2:45 for a 3:00 start. No one was in the office. A few persons from an earlier tour were eating. Finally, an employee strolled over, took our credit card info, had us sign releases and said... more

for the 8th. time over the years i have arranged a canoe outing on the New River with Jeff and Wahoo Adventures, and this year might have been the best of the best. 80 fun seeking, fun loving friends from the Upstate of SC joined myself to a delightful day on the river. Jeff assisted us in finding excellent overnite... more

This was a fantastic experience. The guides and employees could not have treated us any better. We camped with 30 people for 3 nights and had a tubing trip on Saturday afternoon. The scenery was amazing and the site was pefect for our entire weekend. I highly recommend Wahoo's and can' wait to repeat our trip next year. more

My family and I went kayaking and tubing down the New River with Wahoo's. It was an excellent experience. We found the staff to be friendly, helpful and very accomodating. The scenery on the trip was amazing. It was worth every penny that we paid. I've read some reviews where people were upset about the "no frills" appearance of the... more

I recently organized a camping/ tubing trip for a 25+ group at Wahoo Adventures and had an excellent experience. I have put together similiar trips at a number of venues in the past and have never found a facility able to accomodate a group as large as us so efficiently. First of all, we showed up VERY LATE Thursday night... more

I took my family to Boone for some adventure and to get away from the heat in Florida. We happened along some brochures for Wahoo's Adventures, I thought this would be great for the family to do. I called looking to get information on what my family could do nd jeff suggested that we go to the Watagua River since... more

I went rafting with Wahoo's at the beginning of June 2009. After talking to Jeff (the owner) about what would be best for my family, I decided to go with rafting on the Nolichucky. I went with my husband and our two children (ages 11 and 13). Jeff was really helpful in working with us on getting the best price.... more

We went on the Watauga River raft ride for our first white water rafting trip today. When we dealt with a woman on the phone, it was very difficult to get her to understand and answer our questions. Maybe a language barrier? We dealt with Jeff when we went to the store to sign up and found him to be... more
