Had a wonderful time at Foggy Mountain Gem Mine. While staying in Boone we stopped in to mine some gems. Great atmosphere and very informative staff. Found a lot of gems. Great for all ages. You can also get jewelry made from you're gems. They are not pushy either. Pretty reasonable prices for what you may find. Daniel the store... More

Loved our first experience! It was fun doing something engaging with my family. The staff was very friendly and knowledgable. The only drawback was the wait to get our gems looked at, but it was understandable because I wanted the staff to spend the right amount of time with our selection as well. Will definitely be back!

My husband and I were just taking an overnight trip just to getaway. We stopped by because he loves this type of stuff, well so do I, but we have never been treated with such respect, and politeness anywhere. We mined a large bucket between the two of us. It took us about an hour and when we were finished... More

My husband and I took our 5 year old granddaughter for a morning's outing. We got the $30.00 bucket which was perfect for the three of us. We were kept busy for a solid hour sluicing and sorting through to find gemstones. The best part was the sorting and identifying at the end. The young men are very knowledgeable and... More

We had a wonderful time sifting through our bucket to find all the hidden treasure. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the gemstones. They offer services to cut and set your finds into wearable treasures. Fun and affordable activity for all ages.

I was a little skeptical but we had a great time. I have to admit we enjoyed it as much as our kids. Great staff that teaches you about all the gems you find. We wound up with several sapphires, emeralds and many other interesting gems. We got the $34 bucket for 3 kids but saw others with the bigger... More

Family friendly, kids loved it. Husband decided to get 2 rings from gems we collected. Would definitely do it again.

This was by far one of the best experiences of our weekend. The employees were all very helpful. They even took the time to make sure my youngest was able to, "mime wocks" as he said. While the kids played my husband even managed to sneak a beautiful surprise gift for me! I can truly say it's fun for the... More
