This place was a great afternoon out for me, my husband and my two 15 year old children. We got there and decided to purchase the $70 bucket which was big enough for all of us to have a good time. We were told about all the gems that we could find and were shown a board with what we... More

Visited for entertainment value but had a genuinely good time. After you find your gems, you are invited to visit one of their in house gemologists to pick stone worthy of finishing and mounting. The pieces we ordered came in done very tastefully. Great fun.

We stopped towards the end of the day and they quickly and with the mostly friendly speed possible, set up my daughters to start their experience and they LOVED it. We choose to have the girls split a larger bucket (per advice of staff) to get larger style gems and they actually got a quite a bit. A bag's worth... More

Took my almost 4 and 2.5 yo daughters. They really enjoyed the whole experience. Friendly employees. We took home quite a few large gems. We chose not to have any cut at this time.

Took family to the gem mine nit once but twice. The kids had a great time and found many gems. For the 4 kids we bought a $30 bucket and were there for 30 mins. We also went back with other family memebers.. Great time and would recommend it again.

My husband and I are 68 and 54 and we have never been to this type of place before, so we wanted to give it a try. What an AWESOME EXPERIENCE! The staff was very helpful with our bucket and explaining the procedures, and then let us loose to sift the rocks! We were told to look for color but... More

We were told we would be guaranteed to find gem stones in our bucket of dirt. We got the smallest bucket and enjoyed the "panning". We did get a variety of gem stones. The employees will sort and explain what you have found. You can get these polished and made into jewelry for a price. We just kept the raw... More

Purchased a $70 bucket and helped our two kids sift. You will definitely get gems, they are very informative. We also had stones cut for jewelry, (currently waiting on those). Very easy to find. The only cons for me were not finding native gems, for example emeralds. I would have loved the option of a more authentic mining experience. The... More

This was an interesting stop. The staff were knowledgeable and helpful, and we learned about several gems. One of the better gem mines in the area. Worth seeing.

I have been to several gem mines as my daughter has loved rocks for years, and studied Geology. The buckets are full of gravel instead of just dirt, dirt being the norm at most places. The gravel was super annoying. They "tell" you what you received in your bucket, but the girl seemed really pompous to me, maybe I was... More
