We had the best day with grand kids. The employees are so nice and so helpful. They explain every step and show you a chart of stones to look for. It's just a fun experience. I highly recommend it.

The staff does a great job of setting you up and then reviewing what you have found. You have options to have your finds cut and polished. We got a large bucket that included 2 cut stones. Paid to have them set. Waiting to see how that turns out but I'm sure it will be nice. Deciding if we want... More

I have always been curious about gem mining. I'm glad I chose Foggy Mountain to give it a try. The staff was most helpful and patient. We found many larger sizes of many different types of gems and I am in the process of sending one back to have cut. I can't wait to see my prize that I FOUND!

We had a great time and found bag's full of gem's. I found a piece of emerald so nice and big they are cutting me 2 stones from it. Staff members all very nice and helpful with information and identification of gem's. We can't wait to visit again.

My father (80), aunt (81) and I (56)went to Foggy Mountain on Saturday, June 13th. It was rather late in the day. The Foggy Mountain staff made us feel welcome, talked with us about their experiences, made my father and aunt comfortable, took the time to make the experience well worth the trip. The stones we found were of a... More

We had a relaxing time sifting for some beautiful gems. My son and I shared a $30 bucket and came away with a wide variety of gems from around the world. You could have the gems cut into polished gems. We took ours home in their natural state to enjoy as nature made them. The staff was helpful, even recovering... More
