Not sure why people have this listed as an attraction. It is a store. It is very cool because there is a lot of candy and old school toys that are nostalgic of when we were kids. But it's a store, not an attraction. I would suggest visiting it if you are in the area but don't plan on spending... More

We travel to the Boone area a couple of times a year and visiting Mast General Store has become a family tradition. My kids love the candy bins but also enjoy seeing all of the "old school" toys and games that I played with many years ago. Its worth the time to walk through, even if you don't plan on... More

Worth the drive to visit... Their candy store down the road has alot of type candies I grew up with. Nice place to visit. Ate lunch across the road from the store, food was good but a little pricey.

I read reviews that suggested we stop here and we were not disappointed. The best part was we were able to bring our labradoodle into the store with us. They are pet friendly and even gave her some treats.

My sister suggested our family stop here as a fun alternative to all the outdoor activities we had planned. So, on a cold blustery afternoon we visited the store and it was a blast. Our kids (12 and 15) marveled at all of the candy and fun games, etc. My husband and I enjoyed getting some candy we haven't seen... More

This is a place we stop at every time we come to Boone. I love the variety of jellies and salsas. This is a place to visit for all your country shopping. They have it all. Very knowledgeable staff ready to help answer any questions you may have.

Generally, my boys groan and roll their eyes when I want to stop at a store to shop but Mast General is the exception. The HUGE candy room is fun--but it adds up fast. They also have clothes, purses, jewelry, food items, jams, jellies, kitchen supplies, decor, cold weather gear, nick-knacks, gifts, pocket knives, toys, games, furniture, shoes, tons of... More

we visited Boone on a horrible rainy/snowy day and was very happy to fund this massive store on the Main Street. There is so much stuff there that you could spend all day looking around. I really liked the candy section. WOW $7.95 per pound of what must be the largest selection of goodies on the planet. Anyhow, go there,... More

The original location is worth going to see. However, this one is set up very nice. It is in a good location to walk to other stores and restaurants.
