I'm so disappointed with the customer service we got today 01/22/2015 from an employee named Becky. She was very rude and had an attitude. It makes so mad to see that I drove 800 miles to come to this place only to get horrible customer service from Becky and the front desk where we got our skis everyone else has... More

Appalachian Ski Mountain is family friendly and I love the view of all the slopes, it is easy to find everyone...since we are a large group.

Took our kids here to learn to snowboard and ski for the first time. They thought it was great. This isn't the same level of skiing that you get out west, but it was great for our first timers and to practice your skills. They have everything you need from head to toe to have a fun day of skiing.... More

Everyone I encounter was very friendly and helpful-everyone. We skied at night and it was a lot of fun. They do not have as many runs as Sugar or Beech, but the runs the do have are very fun and well kept. There was a lot of snow and the lifts were all functioning properly which kept the lines short.... More

As floridians we visit the lodge every year to see the "snow" in January. Last year during our visit we got lots of real snow while visiting blowing rock. This year not so much, so it was nice to be able to take our two year old to see the "snow" at the lodge. I only wish they had a... More

I loved the ski town of Blowing Rock, but the skiing itself was pretty minimal with only about 4 slopes none of which were truly black diamonds. And it was pretty expensive for a brief 2 day trip. Definitely plan to spend at least $500 for 2 days not including where you stay overnight. There are a ton of beginners... More

I've skied both Beech and Sugar but the rest of the crew hadn't. This was the perfect place for them to learn though and the staff were much friendlier than either of the other nearby ski locations. The lines weren't bad and the skiers weren't rude, the only issue we had was with some "special" event volunteers trying to hog... More

Been to this facility twice and both times were during the high season. I am not familiar with snow skiing too much as this is the only place I have been. It is VERY crowded both inside and out. Pretty cramped quarters to suit up. Ski staff (people setting up your skis) were not too nice most of the time.... More

Everyone who works there is very friendly! The slopes are really short, not much of a challenge. Beginners everywhere so you have to pay very close attention. The ice skating rink is a decent size but for $14 a person for two hours is a bit much. Very easy to get to from the little town of Boone! Overall an... More
