Tweetsie Railroad was around when I was a kid, and I can remember at 12 thinking I'd way outgrown it. If your kids are this age, they'll probably feel this same way. However, if you have younger kids, especially the preschool and early elementary age set, it's worth the trip. The rides range from average carnival fare (a ferris wheel,... more

OK-we just got home today from the "Ghost Train" event that was totally overpriced and was not worth it at all! I paid $26 per person for an event that only lasts a few hours. The gates open at 7:30 pm, but after standing in line to get in....you may get in there by 8pm. The lines to the Haunted... more

We went in June of this year and had a fun time. We went when they had Thomas the train as this was the time we were in the area. My daughter is six years old and had a lot of fun riding the rides. The most fun she had was at the petting zoo feeding the deer and goats.... more

Its been some 30 years since I last had a visit to Tweetsie. I remember the cowboys and indians really looked like the real thing. They had battles like the old times and ran through the train. Now they take on the appearance of modern day cowboys and the indians do not wear feathers. You can only see the indians... more

My wife and I went to Tweetsie on a Friday in early October. While the park seems most appealing to young children, I had a great time. There is a carnival section that has some rides for adults. We rode the train twice and it was different each time. The shows were not flashy, but were simple and enjoyable. If... more

Great place to take the kids for a quick getaway. Lots of activities! Tweetsie Railroad was so much fun. The park is clean and the staff are the friendliest I've ever encountered at an amusement park. more

This was totally worth it for the kids. Even on a rainy day. We still got to ride the train and we walked to the litttle attractions about the park. We brought food and toys with us to prevent from overspending at the park concessions and gift shop. It was a great day!! more

I was visiting my parents with my 4 year old son. My parents were excited to take their grandson to Tweetsie after hearing some good things about it. We bought tickets online and we were a little concerned because they were forecasting showers - but the website said rain or shine. After driving 2 and a half hours to get... more

Fun little park with a great train. Park looked good and employees were very friendly. Real coal fired steam engine train (though the robbery and indian encounter along the way could use an upgrade). Park also had a nice sky ride and several shows. I was using the Blue Ridge Go Card and made a short visit while hitting a... more

My husband, daughter, and I return to Tweetsie every year. True, it is not a huge, loud, flashy amusement park, but that's part of the appeal. If your kids are 7 and under, it's a slam dunk. They've added a few new rides for older kids as well. There's also a Western themed shop, fantastic fudge shop, good barbecue, and... more
