Just be aware that this attraction as well as many others ski resorts excluded are completely closed for the whole winter. I had no idea of this and it's still bizarre places close for these months totally. Whatever, just be aware if you're a first timer to the rock or tweetsie.

Tweetsie offers a full day of fun for a very reasonable price. We brought two adults and two kids for less than the price of admission to one Orlando park and we had more fun. Rides, petting zoo, and small shows kept everyone entertained all day

This place is great to take the family while visiting near Boone North Carolina. It is a park, sort of like a Mountain Folk Disney as far as the price, so plan to stay the whole day to get your monies worth.

For starters, anyone who loves trains will love tweetsie! They have locomotive #12 which served on the ETWNC (Eastern Tennessee Western North Carolina railroad) and locomotive #190 which served on the White Pass and Yukon Route railroad in Alaska for the U.S Army in WWII. Other than the railroad, tweetsie has an amusement park with several rides and another little... More

Visited this train/western theme park as a child and now, 45 years later as an adult. The train ride is a v leisurely trip for adults and children enjoy it too. It is amazing that the engine is 100 years old. There was a can-can girl show at the local theatre and shops to purchase souvenirs to remember your visit.... More

Since I have to work every Halloween, I like to take my granddaughter to the Halloween Train at Tweetsie where she gets to trick-or-treat. We have a blast riding the tilt-a-whirl as many times as we can. The decorations and characters are always incredible. We enjoy the rides and it's fun for all ages.

Skip it!!! The lines are way too long, the train ride was dark and uneventful. The ghost train was mostly done thru tv screens and terribly hokey. The wait was almost and hour. The wait for other attractions was way too long as well. They let too many people in for too little attractions. Definitely a pass!
