This place is a complete rip off. There is no scenic train with mountain views. There is a trashy, redneck amusement park with inaccurate representations of cowboy and Indian fake-fights and holdups that is shamefully ridiculous and overpriced. Your kids will enjoy Grandfather Mountain more. And if you've got to go somewhere more amusement park-like, skip Tweetsie and head to... more

Small town wild west themed amusement park best for young kids (6 and under) for most activities within the park. If the kids are somewhat older, get the teenager(s) to take them to spend time on the carnival rides, ski lift and drop cash into the arcade. Parents should skip spending $30 entrance fee per adult whenever possible. more

This was the first time I've been to Tweetsie Railroad. We paid $30/person for admission, and it is really really overpriced. Their are maybe 10 rides total that you can ride on, it probably has them listed on their webiste, so if you're a big fan of those amusement rides, then I guess it helps. The do have a few... more

We went to Tweetsie Railroad to ride Thomas the Train and hoped we would have a great time. We had an amazing day! Besides my son getting to ride on Thomas the Train we enjoyed everything in this park. It was worth every penny. It is a perfect place to take young children- they can do everything. My son was... more

My boys LOVE Tweetsie Railroad, especially when Thomas the Train is there. They love riding Tweetise or Thomas, the Mouse Train, the airplanes, the boats, the bumper cars, etc. Most rides are geared toward younger kids, although there is a section for olders (teens, adults) ones that has about 4 rides in it. The only ride we have NOT liked... more

A lot different from the huge amusement parks. It was nice because you didn't have to rush through trying to see everything or ride everything. The train ride was very enjoyable. There were a few rides for my older kids (7 & 9) and a few for my 3 year old. Nice layout. Neat to take the ski lift up... more

We enjoyed our trip to the Halloween events at Tweetsie Railroad. The old-fashioned fun park setting really appeals to us. The scary train ride is legitimately scary--if predictable. An animatronic headless horseman, some shopping in the Tweetsie store for logo merchandise (we always like souveniers), and a few cute rides added to our fun. The shows and the decorations aren't... more

You can't beat Tweetsie for some family fun. The train is still the best part, and the shows were very entertaining. The kids, particularly the 10 year old, have about outgrown many of the rides, so I'm not sure if we'll go back. But if you're going to be in the High Country, you must stop and see Tweetsie at... more

Took the Wife and Kids to Tweetsie 30 years after our parents took us and it was still awesome. We did everything in the park in about 5 hours and the kids had a ball!! Yes the food is a little overpriced and just average amusement park fare- but they will let you bring in coolers- so pack a lunch... more
