FUN for the whole family! I came here as a child, brought my children, and now I bring my grandchildren! I love this place, there is something for everyone...petting zoo, rides for all ages, game arcade, can-can girls, gunslingers, chairlift, shopping, food, special traveling exhibits and of course....Tweetsie! The train ride is great and stops for different "shows" Indian attacks,... More

The Tweetsie Railroad is a great place to spend the day and relive the old west. The rides, arcade, train show and even the quaint shops detail the days of the early west. It allows families to pan for gold and gems like the prospectors, face native attacks at outpost forts, and even learn history along the way. The park... More

Trying to think how to best describe TWEETSIE RAILROAD------ As an adult, do you ever want just to escape to a special place and time..?? Here's the place and opening day for 2015 isn't that far off---I know--I just looked it up last night. I'm 58...and I'm planning to go back AGAIN this year.... Seek your inner child and just... Tweetsie Railroad has been a favorite place to visit since my first time there in 1965 but this year's visit was only my second in autumn. We had great time as the changing leaves gave everything a different look and the crisp temperatures invigorated us. Since Tweetsie is only open on weekends in summer, the park was pretty busy but... As a child, we visited Tweetsie Railroads back in the 70s -- when Fred Kirby used to make appearances there. That's how long I've been going. Now as a parent, this is one of the places that our kids have enjoyed going and now the grand kids love it too. They love riding the train -- 3-5 times, they love... More

We took our grandson to Tweetsie Railroad - he had a wonderful time and we had an even greater time just watching him enjoy the experience. Tweetsie Railroad, a family friendly amusement park, offers all an nostalgic opportunity to go back to a time where people were courteous and friendly. Riding on a genuine steam locomotive was one of the... More

I've been coming here since I was a child. I have brought my son numerous times and he loves it. The food isn't horribly overpriced but I feel the ticket prices are a little expensive. The best part is riding the train, hands down. Some of the ride operators could be a little more friendly. It's a older place with... More

This is a great family adventure for children 5-11. We always enjoy hearing the sound of Tweetsie from our home in Blowing Rock, NC from May until the last of October. The train steams around the mountain as it comes under attack by a variety of bad guys until the passengers are returned back at the station safe and sound.

I have been coming to Tweetsie Railroad every Halloween for years. It has become a family tradition (a tradition that borders on law--missing it can cause harassment that borders on pure evil). It is one of the few excursions into the mountains I allow myself (Editor's Note: I freaking hate snow), and we always have an excellent time. The Tweetsie... More
