You probably aren't going to come to Blowing Rock JUST TO visit Kilwins, but while you're there you don't want to miss this place! If your idea of a good time includes walking in to a shop where the aroma of pouring cauldrons of freshly-made fudge onto large marble slabs is an overpowering greeting, challenged only by the combination of... We stopped here for some icecream after a day in Boone. Everyone loved the icecream they got, and we decided my husband's icecream was the favorite. I can't remember the flavor name (something with sea salt), but it has salted caramel icecream with chocolate covered cashews in the icecream. It was very good! We went to the Blowing Rock Park... Took my grandson in for ice cream. Good reviews for his chocolate chip on a waffle cone. My butter pecan, however, didn't quite measure up. (Very little butter or pecan in the flavor! Good service; crazy expensive!

Kilwins in Blowing Rock was amazing! Had their homeade ice cream. I got Kilwins Tracks and my husband got turtle cheesecake. They were both delicious. They have many ice cream flavors. The shop is in downtown Blowing Rock within walking distance of many other neat shops. Parking is a little difficult since you have to find parking on the street.... More

Awesome samples and the smell was incredible. My husband doesn't eat sweets and he even bought some fudge. This is definitely worth a stop

Friendly service, yummy smells and free samples make this a nice store to satisfy your sweet tooth. Fudge, a large selection of chocolates and tempting caramel apples are just a part of what they offer.

We loved the place! Lots of ice-cream varieties and it is all good. Tried fudge too but I am not a fan of it - too sweet.
