Too cold for Ice Cream (though it looked great).. being on diets ... we "snuck" a different slice of fudge for a late snack in our hotel room each nigh. We walked back to the hotel to justify the fudge! LOL ... very friendly staff, fun to watch them make the fudge. Was pleased they were open until 10pm each... More

Our family enjoyed the ice cream, waffle cones and candy from Kilwins. It's a popular spot that could use a few more chairs...especially during a winter time visit. Have to agree, that prices are a bit high.

My wife, niece and I just visited this Mecca for ice cream and candy. We didn't realize what a find this was until we took the first bite of the homemade New Orleans praline pecan ice cream. This has to be the best ice cream I have had anywhere in the world including Rome Italy. They also have all kinds... More

This is a must visit if you go to Blowing Rock. The smell of the fresh made waffle cones as you walk by will lure you inside. Once in the store you'll be greeted by over 40 ice cream flavor choices. Choose one, you won't be disappointed. Skip the candy, it's pretty generic, but the fudge is a sure bet.... More

I can not say enough to let you know how delicious Kilwin's is...you just have to go! They have ice creams that are so fantastic and every flavor I've tried is delish. They have caramel apples of all sorts, a big display of specialty chocolates, gift bags, and caramel corn. It's all delicious - pick one, you can't go wrong.... More

There was a line that you have to wait in for ice cream. I got the lemon sorbetto with "sprinkles" and they are NOT sprinkles, they were nonpareils which are not the same, AND it was $.75 for what was only a teaspoon full! The waffle cones were good but they were the thickest waffle cones we've ever had almost... More

Wow--a friend suggested we visit and have the pralines. Well we enjoyed the free sample fudge (rocky road and salted caramel)--yummy not too sweet. I followed the masses and lined up for the ice cream which in retrospect was a mistake. I love ice cream and this was quite disappointing and overpriced. I do not mind paying for a quality... More

Just entering the shop makes it all worthwhile. You'll enjoy the smells of all the goodies as you enter, and you are lucky if you leave without buying one of everything. We chose ice cream and chocolaye covered mint oreos on our first visit, and for our trip home we picked up fudge, caramel apples, and a little peanut brittle... More
