My family and I went to Doc's Gem Mine and had a fantastic experience, actually it was the highlight of our trip! Doc and his entire staff were wonderful, friendly and very knowledgeable. We bought the big bucket to mine and later in the week a couple of small buckets we found great stones in every one we purchased. Doc... More

My dad and I spent about 45 minutes sifting though the medium bucket. We initially went as a joke, but we actually enjoyed the experience. We were surprised by the number of rocks we found, as well as the size and variety. The staff assured us they were just in the dirt, not placed there by the store. The staff... More

Great place to stop and pan for gems. It was too cold to go to pan outside but everything is also set up inside with warm water in the sluice. Extremely great prices on rocks and gems compared to many other places we have been to see.

A medium bucket was $34 which kept the kids busy for about 45 minutes. They didn't get many gems, mainly crystal. The Fossil museum upstairs was lame and not worth the admission

My husband, son and I had a great time at Doc's Rocks Gem Mine. We had so much fun and found so many cool stones. We had two of them cut and made into beautiful jewelry. The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. We also enjoyed the fossil museum in the second floor. We especially enjoyed seeing the T-Rex skull... More

Took the Summer Adventure Camp on a road trip to Doc's. The staff was very friendly and helped the kids with their mining. Then Doc gave a tour of the museum.

We love to visit Doc's Rocks. The gift shop has amazing treasures for an impressive price. We bought an excavation kit (Dino skull) for a Christmas gift. Lovely jewelry for purchase or make your own. We have toured the museum twice. Each year they add more. There are actual Dino bones! They also have a smoothie shop! The staff and... More

We have stopped at Docs several times and for the price of "treasure" hunting it was a blast. Staff is knowledgeable and our toddler son loved digging in the dirt, stop in and see what gems you can find.
