After visiting Mystery Hill, it was a pleasant little sit down to do some panning. Fun for all ages. Our toddlers loved it and so did the adults. We spent $48 on 4 smaller buckets and walked away with 6 bags of gems. Well worth the $48! Will do again!

We arrived right at opening time and got the large ($55) bucket. We found tons of stuff- my 8 year old daughter found 5 rubies which is her birthstone so that made her day! I recommend getting there early as we drove by in the afternoon and it was packed. Also wear clothes you don't care about getting dirty.

We bought the $55 bucket for my family with 4 kids, 2 little kids and 2 teenagers. It was plenty. The kids had fun doing it. We walked away with four good size bags of "gems." It was a bit disappointing because I heard so much about the educational aspect but we weren't told very much about them. They were... More

My boys love this place. They love gem mining and also visiting the dinosaur museum upstairs. We live here and try to visit a couple times a year. It is a little expensive but they do use good dirt often from KY or VA.

We stopped by after our visit next door to Mystery Hill. I'm glad we poked our head in. Very pleased with the friendliness of the employees. They not only made us feel welcomed, but didn't rush us, etc. They took the time to talk to my kids about all the gems they found, etc. Both of my kids kept talking... More

Don't worry so much about the price. The kids had a blast and found a lot of gems that tickled them. The folks were helpful, welcoming, and shared their knowledge with the kids explaining each type of rock they found.

My daughter was entertained for about 10 minutes while I sifted through the bucket of dirt I bought. She is four and too small to really help but she tried. She is small for her age, and had she been a few inches taller, she probably would have been able to participate. I enjoyed it though. It was stupid cold... More

After my initial balk at the price, I went ahead and bought the big bucket of dirt to keep the peace with my 3 boys. I'm so glad I did, it was filled with all kinds of different types of rocks and gems and quite a few of them were sizeable. The boys had a blast panning for gems. Kim... More

Great little "gem" for the kids. We got a medium sized bucket for $34 and the kids found lots of great gems (8-10 good sized gems plus more little ones). It was raining the day we went, so we had to be inside which thankfully wasn't a problem because it wasn't too crowded. People working there are wonderful! Would highly... More
