Picnic grounds were very clean with a ton of tables to choose from. Canoe rentals on Price Lake were affordable, $13 an hour, and you can paddle the whole lake in about an hour.

This has got to be on top of my lists for the most beautiful hike ever! Boone Fork Trail! Please do not think it might be too strenuous, I am 68 with pulmonary fibrosis. I had to pause a few times but I am sure the beauty is what took my breath

My husband and I rented a canoe for an hour in the morning. It was only $13 per hour and took a solid hour to go around the lake. The staff (Matthew) was very helpful and got the canoe ready for us quickly. I was a tad nervous but the trip went great.

My family has been to Price's Park too many times to count. It has so much beauty surrounding the picnic area. There are walking trails, a creek to splash in, clean restrooms and the tables and grills provided by the park are kept up well. Since the park is on the Blue Ridge Parkway there are other attractions nearby if... More

We rented a canoe for $13 for the hour. They also rent kayaks (single and tandem). The hour is just enough time to paddle the whole perimeter of the lake, which is what we did. Beautiful scenery surrounding the lake. Lots of fun, helpful staff- even gave our 4 year old a small paddle to use, sitting in the middle... More

I've been coming to Price Park for over 20 years. It's a great place to camp, picnic, canoe, and hike. The 4.9 mile trail is stunning. Plenty of area for kids and adults to play ball and have a great time.

We hiked, with our dog, around the lake. It was a nice hike with some views of the lake. We ate our lunch overlooking the lake. It was a nice way to spend the afternoon.

My husband, myself and our 2 kiddos made an impromptu stop at the canoe rental stand to try our hand at family rowing in a rented canoe. It was alot of fun but we quickly learned that 2 out of 4 of us are scared of canoes. We rowed around for around 10 minutes before "someone" :) had all they... More

The 5 mile loop trail that leaves from the picnic area at Julian Price Park is not to be missed. The foot path takes you up and down through the woods. You will cross stream beds and bubbling brooks and love every minute of it. Bring a bathing suit and a picnic and enjoy the natural pools. Hiking shoes are... More
