Hiking trails, a lake, scenic overlooks - everything you'd expect on the Blue Ridge Parkway. If in the Boone, Blowing Rock area this is a must see!

The 5 mile loop hike is really great. Especially the 2.5 miles that follows the river....Next time we'll just do that section.

This is a charming park that has everything to offer outdoor enthusiasts. A beautiful lake, trails, picnic ground and excellent campground. (no hookups). Boat rentals in season. We hope some day to return for a long multi day visit.

Wonderful views and scenic overlooks! There are tons of places to stop in the grass if there isn't an overlook nearby. The famous "postcard view" of the Linn Cove Viaduct is here!

The picnic area is free. There were a lot of picnic tables with plenty of space between them. We thought you had to wade across the river... More

Beautiful park on the Blue Ridge Parkway just a few miles from Blowing Rock. The lake trail is very nice, the boat rentals are great, and the picnic area is nice.
