Excellent views, fun course

Lots of water and fun. Green a bit too fast. Walking is preferred if it is an early morning golf. Spa available in the club house. Very convenient for a massage after golf.

For a public course it gives you a great views, holes with some slope, some blind shots and of course what used to be the longest hole in golf - the famous par 6. If you are staying in Montreat or Black Mountain, gives you a fun afternoon with friends.

We golfed while on vacation in Black Mountain. The course was in much better shape than in past years. The greens were vastly improved. The staff is to be commended. It was an enjoyable round and we look forward to returning.

Course was in pretty good shape for the price and would have been fine had some of the holes not been so close together. Balls flying over our heads from adjacent fairways is not very comforting. On the par 6 the 3rd shot is pretty much a blind dog leg right shot. Well if your a little left it would... More

Outstanding value with great views of Black Mountain Range to Mt. Mitchell. Maintenance far better than in recent years with smooth, true-rolling greens and lush fairways. Hazards numerous for wayward shots toward creeks and tree lines, but good shots rewarded.

The course was in terrible shape. Moutain view were pretty. But You would think that a mourtain course would be stunningl and the setting really could have been. But the course was in rough shape. Overgrown weed filled fairways. Local biddies walked the course so slow a turtle could have passed them, and when we (in golf carts) tried to... More

This is a local municipal golf course that provides a challenge to any golfer. The 18 holes are located on a very hilly area of town and hole number 17 is 747 yards for a par 6. A real challenge to anyone as you cannot see the green until the last stroke. The costs generally is 28 dollars, with specials... More

Needs some updating, but it is in progress. Reasonable fees and great layout. Management has changed and improvements should be seen & they are offering great membership rates now.

This Golf course is a walking course or it seems to be, as over half walked and took forever to finish 18 holes. so if you go there plan on waiting. the course had a very narrow course a bit to tight. its ok if you dont mind dodging balls coming at you from the otherside of the narrow course.
