Wonderful mountain resort for family fun! Kids love coming back every year for old-fashioned great times. Skiing and snowboarding in winter and mountain biking in summer. Great fun and great food. Beech Mountain has it all!

Beech mountain is a favorite summer getaway because it's 10 degrees cooler than anywhere else in North Carolina. Lots of cabins to rent at reasonable prices. Hiking and relaxing is the main past time. We saw deer every day while there. Fred's Mercantile is a focal point for supplies and groceries. Restaurant's are pricier but the location is great. It's... More

The summer temperatures are in the "can't get any better" 50-low 70 range, the small town friendly people where even strangers wave when you walk or drive by, the nearby terrific restaurants in all price ranges, the many outdoor sports including hiking, zip lining, horse back riding, tennis, golf, etc., and last but not certainly least the "breathtaking" mountain views!!!... Keep up the great work. This definitely is a place we will return. Love all the growth up here. Perfect summer vacation and even better in the winter.

When we moved to NC back on 06 we went to Beech Mtn and fell in love. It became an annual trip for our family and friend. Very family oriented sky resort. Everything you need is so close but has a small town feel to it.

Rich people can lay back or trek, golf, tennis, antique shop. I hit trails every morning with a picnic lunch of what I grilled for dinner the evening before. It took me to another level of relaxation/recreation. Old people on golf course can be grumpy. Service people are often college students on summer break. Gourmet food, casual dress, full services,... Attended Acoustic Syndicate concert in Beech Mountain Brewing Company as part of apres ski series. Concert was great and I would like to hear this band again. Food was in short supply as were bartenders. The crowd may have been more than was expected.

We checked the reviews of this place before going and a lot were negative. We decided to go anyways and had a great time. We skied for three days (Wednesday through Friday). Going during the week is the way to go. My wife and I put our two boys in snowboard lessons on the first day, paid for a group... More

Whether it's to snowboard/ski, hike or just to escape the summer heat, Beech is best. We've owned 3 homes there and raised 2 children, splitting our time between Beech Mountain & the Charlotte area for the last 35 years. The locals are hospitable, the YMCA-like Rec Center is open to guests and you can eat breakfast at Fred's Backside Deli... More

Beautiful scenery. Lots of interesting things to see. People working at the shops and around the town were super nice. Worth the drive to see the view from the mountain.
