This isn't the old beech mountain, with holes in the chairlift chairs, poor snowmaking, and terrible grooming. The slopes were perfectly groomed with phenomenal man made snow. The wide runs give skiers of all abilities room to maneuver, and one never feels crowded on this mountain. By far this is the best mountain for cruisers in the southeast but even... More

Skied two day over the crowded MLK weekend. We got stuck on a ski lift for about 20 minutes. They kept it running with the auxiliary motor which only made the lift run at about 2 mph, requiring about 30 minutes to get to the top. This put pressure on the one remaining quad lift to the top of the... More

We went January 2nd. There was no snow, but the skate rink was open, This ski resort is one of our family favorites when we visit the area. It has something for everyone. There is a pub, restaurant and plenty of places to warm-up.

I've been to Beech and Sugar numerous times over the years, but lately I've been drawn to Beech more for: (1) craft beer on the summit and (2) lower prices. It isn't Snowshoe, and Snowshoe isn't Keystone, but it is great for what it is. My only gripe is I wish the season passes were priced more realistically. $550 is... More

Awful. Go to Sugar. Won't open. Won't update website. Been blowing snow since New Year's Eve. Rude customer service. Disappointed family. Waste of slope side accommodations. Throw your money in the trash.

Was here for opening weekend. Since temperatures have been mild they were blowing snow.. All night. If you have not skied in these conditions, beware and come prepared! You'll need full face cover up, hat, and goggles.

We have been visiting/staying here for about 14 years now and enjoy it more each time. Great tennis and golf, beginners winter skiing and summer hiking, painting, walking.

The whole family went Skiing / Snowboarding here and had a great time. Military discount does apply if you are active duty. Not sure about Veterans. Town is nice and bustling year round. Beautiful Mountain overall.

have relatives who moved here and plan to live here year round. Nice place to visit, would not want to live there. Beautiful mountain views, lots of deer and black bears. Winding roads with lots of sharp turns climbing up or down. We are not skiers, but that is the winter attraction.

We have a house on Beech mountain and have be going there since 1985. This year we spent 3 weeks in July and had a great time. There are a lot of god restaurants, there are deer everywhere, the pool is great, and the golf course is very good. I am and avid golfer and I enjoy this mountain course... More
