Beautiful scenery. Lots of interesting things to see. People working at the shops and around the town were super nice. Worth the drive to see the view from the mountain.

It is charming and a great place to take the family. The staff are friendly and make you feel welcome. I recommend eating lunch a little early or late. There is not enough seating during the lunch rush. The real little children can skate while the rest ski. There is something for everyone. We had a great time.

Go down the road to Sugar Mountain instead. We went to Beech with no knowledge that all but one lift was down, so we could only experience 2 beginner slopes, which got old real fast. Not one single person tried to tell us before spending over $70 purchasing all the equipment and gear, and then told us to go to... More

I went to beech on a weekend right after 5 inches of natural snow fell. I got to the mountain (which claimed 44 inch base) and by 1 pm saw plenty of dirt on one of the top runs and tons of ice on the others. I don't know where they measure at but just expect NC ski conditions all... More

We were here last Friday, right after the slope had received about 8 inches of snow. I used to live nearby and have probably skied here 70+ times. It is my most favorite place to ski in NC and the conditions were as good as they get in NC ! The rental process was easy and painless. I skied with... More

We signed up our 2 boys (11 and 9) at the Burton Snowboarding School for a 1/2 day lesson on a Friday afternoon for a lesson morning. We were told to arrive back at 8:30am the next morning and the lesson would begin at 9am. We were also told to get 1/2 day lift tickets since they weren't included with... More

The only good part about this resort was the length of the slopes. The equipment was awful, the lifts were cheap, and the employees were very unprofessional. This is a good resort for somebody to visit for 1 day, but only if you do not have a family. It is not family friendly and customer service is the least of... More

I have skied for a number of years, and put my children into ski schools both on the west and east coast. This is the first place I've ever gone to that doesn't allow ski school registration online or over the phone. You must do it in person, in a specific time window the day before. Imagine how convenient that... More

This is a parent to parent review. My children's safety is always of the upmost importance to me on any experience and I would like to share my experience with the Beech Mtn Ski School in case you all are considering a trip there - it is the worst learn to ski program we have ever experienced. They had absolutely... More
